Doctor Who Journey to the Centre of the Tardis

Saturday 27th April 6:30pm – 7:15p BBC One BBC1 HD

The Tardis is captured by a spaceship salvage team, sending its systems into meltdown.

As the Doctor introduces himself to the motley crew of galactic rag-and-bone men, he realises Clara is still trapped within his malfunctioning ship, so he persuades his new acquaintances to help find his companion, taking them deep into the heart of his beloved blue box.

But their hopes of a straightforward rescue are dashed when it turns out Clara is not the only one down there. Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman star, with Ashley Walters (Inside Men).

Doctor Who – The Crimson Horror

Saturday 4 May

There’s something very odd about Mrs Gillyflower’s Sweetville mill, with its perfectly clean streets and beautiful people.

There’s something even stranger about the bodies washing up in the river, all bright red and waxy. When the Doctor and Clara go missing, it’s up to Vastra, Jenny and Strax to rescue them before they too fall victim to the Crimson Horror!

thats why waters of mars is one of the best eps ever of dr who. as it was scary. im 12 and i was so scared when i saw the unquiet dead ( i was about 6 or 5 then) but when i did watch it again i felt grown up and happy about something i was scared but not anymore. dr who was never for young kids it was for and if it was let them be scared thats called growing up and letting them live and if they are scared and people complain. then were just going to get stupid ep like dinos on a spaceship.

(above comment continued) And the same with the salvage team, and even Clara herself! Hopefully there won’t be another The Girl Who Waited if they end up with multiple Clara’s(old and young presumably) and the Doctor has to choose which one to keep.

Maybe in the TARDIS , because it travels in time, the Doctor meets his future self, still looking for Clara, then in the future, the Doctor meets his past self who would go on to be his future self and so on. Any other theories of who, or what, might be down there with Clara?

yes, who can be scary, but not too scary. just like when the human turned into the wolf in tooth and claw, i was 7, and i still can’t watch it. yes, let doctor who be scary, but not too scary that it’s unfit for viewing to younger people, that’s just unfair to younger children who enjoy the show, but who are too scared to watch it. i was so scared of the waters of mars i couldn’t watch some of it, and for me, that episode wasn’t that enjoyable because i was that scared. i don’t call that enjoyable, i call that extreme.

I agree, we’ve already had a bit of mild horror in Cold War(torn-up bodies), so the idea of bodies RED(the colour of blood) and waxy might be a bit too creepy for younger audiences, I’m 11 and I got nightmares after Cold War(although I think my squeamishness had a big part in it!)

Not every Cyberman story has to have “Cybermen” in the title, look at The Tenth Planet, The Moonbase, The Wheel in Space, The Invasion, Earthshock, Silver Nemesis, Doomsday, The Next Doctor, The Pandorica Opens, or Closing Time.
