The Day of the Doctor – Extended Full Trailer

Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor – The Trailer

Saturday 23 November 7.50pm

The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special.

In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

Anyone spot the Daleks within the ships, looks like it has a black dome…

Now we KNOW that painting in the clip is Gallifrey.

    Rose: “The Moment is coming”

Time Lord in The End of Time: “The Doctor has The Moment”

Could it be the same moment?

I’d been thinking that for ages too, because 10 hadn’t met Liz in The Shakespeare Code and he said he’d just met her in The End of Time.

Well this does mainly look to be an Anniversary of The New Series and Steven Moffat did write The Girl in The Fireplace, maybe a reference?

That’s what I thought as well! 2 minds think alike!

The horse that Doc 10 and Elizabeth I are riding out of the TARDIS reminds me of The Girl in the Fireplace.

I doubt that if Billie Piper is playing a Zygon version of Rose, that Rose herself would be excluded from the episode as the Zygons need the individual contained for further use so they can store the DNA prints. I think Doctor 10 will be from between Waters of Mars and End of Time, and Billie Piper will be the Bad Wolf from series one (linking all the revived series together in some way, making up for the absence of Christopher Eccleston maybe).

Agreed I’m hearing Rumours that Paul McGann is doing something for the 50th Anniversary. I know he’s recorded Big Finish The Light At The End but he might be doing something for Children in Need? I’m not sure.

True, but thats why we have an adventure in space and time, I think it will top the 50th by far!

if that is 40 seconds of the 50th

I cant wait to see what an hour and a half is like

The trailer is good but as I feared the 50th will just be a new series worshiping episode

Maybe she’s ok at the beginning of the Episode but because of the Time Lock being broken she becomes Repossessed by the Bad Wolf Entity later on? Just my thoughts on it.

It is I think too because I read a description Online around SDCC time and someone who had watched it described this. I recognised several quotes from the description and the part in the Trailer when The Tenth and Eleventh Doctors were wearing brainy specs.

Has anyone else noticed the Hurt Doctor’s console room?

Roses eyes are glowing i really hope this has to do with the bad wolf or something and she’s not a Zygon. Brilliant trailer and it looks like the Daleks are a threat again rather than the metal cowards they were presented as in asylum of the Daleks

I think this is the comic con trailer. I could be wrong, but tonight’s one is said to be 70 seconds long.

WOW! When my dad first showed me this, the first thing I said was “That’s a lot of Daleks being knocked over by explosions”. This is still epic!

She is possessed by the Bad Wolf Entity/ The Time Vortex from Parting of The Ways.

  • Ben Roberts

    November 9th, 2013 - 12:48pm

I’m hearing rumours that Billie Piper isn’t playing Rose, but a physical manifestation of the Bad Wolf…quite a good theory if you think about it.

    November 9th, 2013 - 12:48pm

is it just me or is rose possessed or somthing

I think the Red Ruby/ Crystal at 00:30 is The Moment because Rose said in the Trailer “The Moment is coming…” Not 100% sure if it is but this could be what John Hurt’s Doctor uses to end The Time War!!!

Sontaran Spaceship? But I thought General Staal said in The Sontaran Stratagem “The finest War in history and we weren’t allowed to take part in it?” Or it’s also in the 50th because of The Doctor’s Time Stream collapsing?
