Kidnapped by his oldest foe, the Doctor is forced on an impossible mission – to a place even the Daleks are too terrified to enter… the Asylum. A planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of their kind, the Doctor and the Ponds must find an escape route. August 18th, 2012 - 8:32ami think that dalek in the background is either a new emporer or the daleks are showing the doctor how they are remaking dalek mutants its too big to be dalek caan if you look at dalek caan he was a bit of a small mutant that one in the background is big

1)It’s a new Emperor Dalek, but is awaiting completion of it’s very own casing.
2)It’s Dalek Caan, who’s escaped the destruction of the Dalek Crucible [along with Davros hopefully] using Emergency Temporal Shift, but his casing is so badly damaged that he is removed from it and is now resting on something while a new casing is being made for him.
3)Unlikely as this maybe, but it could be the original first ever Dalek, the mutated Thal brain from the Big Finish audio adventure ‘I’Davros’ which we learn is the very first Dalek created by Davros that we see in 1975’Geneis of the Daleks’, but like I said, unlikely.

It’s just that giant room full of Daleks, all saying ‘SAVE THE DALEKS’ over and over again.
There is a Dalek mutant in the background behind the Doctor near the end, also seen during the start of the trailer with the Supreme Dalek facing towards it.

August 18th, 2012 - 8:12amYeah, a Dalek Mutant. I wonder if it’s a new Emperor Dalek they are creating ?, or perhaps it’s Dalek Caan, escaped from the Dalek Crucibles destruction and now all his damaged casing is gone.
