The Night Of The Doctor is Here – But Which Doctor?
The Night Of The Doctor
The Bringer of Darkness, the Oncoming Storm, the Doctor, the Warrior – A Time Lord! The 50th Anniversary features Matt Smith, David Tennant and a mysterious incarnation played by John Hurt. Only one appears in the mini episode, The Night Of The Doctor. But which?

November 23rd, 2013 - 7:32pmHave sucsses Dr Who because Daleks.

November 19th, 2013 - 1:34pmSo I’m a bit consumed… I only started watched doctor who from matt smiths eleventh hour! Loved the way he brought the show to life! But I’m confused with this ‘bad wolf’ story line! I need to know what it is before the 50th so if any one can explain then thank you!
The 13th Doctor
November 19th, 2013 - 4:00pmIn series 1 of the new series (Chris Eccleston) the words ‘bad wolf’ followed The Doctor and Rose everywhere. In the finale Rose absorbs the time vortex destroy the dalek fleet (who are attacking Earth). She then takes the company name ‘Bad wolf’ (corporation) and spreads the words through time to lead herself there. It is now used as a warning to signal a major event threatening reality

November 19th, 2013 - 6:11pmSo what is bad wolf? I know it’s rose Tyler but what is it and what does it mean? Who created it??
MasterKasterborous
November 19th, 2013 - 8:13pmIt is nothing physical, it is a message created by Rose which she scatters through her time stream to warn her that she needs to go back to the Doctor on Satellite 5.

November 19th, 2013 - 8:51pmCool got it! So she plays bad wolf in 50th?(from what it looks like!)
Anonymous
November 20th, 2013 - 2:36pmRose was Bad Wolf it ment that with the power of the tardis in her she had the power to make her bring jack back to life and to destroy the dalek fleet.
Daniel
November 30th, 2013 - 10:07amThe phrase “Bad Wolf” confused me during revived series one because I kept on thinking that it was some reference to Fenric from the original series. The fact that Rose could have invented any old phrase to send a message to herself escaped me.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
November 18th, 2013 - 5:10pmI could exterminate Doctor Who fan Whovian 14 on Deviant Art, he wrote this as a joke which completely fooled me, the little devil 😀 –
ATTENTION TO ALL DOCTOR WHO FANS
Dear all Doctor Who fans.
Due to overwhelming response to The Night of
the Doctor, a 50th Anniversary prequel, the BBC
have decided to cancel the current series of
Doctor Who, to focus on a full series featuring 8th Doctor Paul McGann. A full statement from Steven Moffat will be released tomorrow.
So glad this was just a joke, the cheeky devil 😀

November 21st, 2013 - 7:16amThe little Daleks!

November 18th, 2013 - 11:03amThis filled out that 9 year gap in such great style. Gave me goosebumps and a lump in my throat to see the doctor back on Karn again. I,m all for an 8th doctor mini series now. Preferably with the ubiquitous sheridan smith as lucie ‘bleeding’ miller.

November 17th, 2013 - 11:45amIN the audio drama he had ninth doctor cloths and a ninth doctor sonic screwdriver
Anonymous
November 21st, 2013 - 12:28pmNo he didn’t. It was an entirely different costume and a custom made screwdriver. Nothing to do with Eccelston’s costume.

November 17th, 2013 - 8:05amBooboo have I got this right?:
John hurt is NOT the doctor, as we all know the doctor is a time lord. He chose the name ‘the doctor’ because he helps people. The incarnation of this particular time lord chose to go to war. This is not seen as helping people, which is why matt smith said ‘not in the name of the doctor’ this shows he did a sin and is not classed as ‘The Doctor’
So on this time lord there have been twelve(thirteen include peter capaldi) different faces but only eleven(twelve including peter capaldi) are called the doctor!

November 17th, 2013 - 1:49pmPretty much sums up what we reckon so far.

November 16th, 2013 - 5:44pmI dont understand what people have against the Movie. SFX had something about Paul McGann saying it wasn’t great.
I thought that it was great to have a Movie about him, even if he didn’t have episodes.
#savetheday
November 16th, 2013 - 5:45pmI think it was a really good idea to keep his regeneration a secret until now, as more people would see it.
Whoisthedoctor
November 17th, 2013 - 12:32amI love the movie and this but could not imagine a series in the movie style, I think it was good that it never took off because it probably would not of lasted a long as the 2005 reboot has

November 16th, 2013 - 4:15pmI’d love them to do loads of shorts containing the 8th Doctor- and why not? They’d only have to do one now and again…and how VERY happy us die-hard whovians would be!
WFK DVD Collector 13
November 16th, 2013 - 2:32pmPaul McGann is such an amazing actor, it would be so sad if Steven Moffat didn’t give him his own 8th Doctor spin-off series. Deffenatly going to buy the 8th Doctor audio plays by Big Finish now thier cannon with the show! 🙂
The Master
November 16th, 2013 - 10:32amI think it’s safe to say that in 17 years Paul McGann hasn’t changed 🙂
Daveroper00
November 15th, 2013 - 7:17pmI love the costume. I think it’s time for a new series with the eighth doctor, but he needs more! It’s time he had more of an opportunity to be let out of his magical blue box again! And I’m ecstatic that he mentioned Lucy, Molly,Tamsim, and others because that makes the audio adventures link with the series!

November 15th, 2013 - 7:09pmWhat a shame Paul Mcgann is not in The Day of the Doctor. He is up there with the best of them . This is a brilliant mini episode and makes you want to see more of him.
fordpaul2011
November 15th, 2013 - 6:58pmthere needs to be more eighth doctor episodes, they can use the nineth/tenth doctors tardis whose to say he didn’t change it.also the new series doesn’t have to feature all the new twelth doctor, why not put in a few eighth doctor travels or film it and show it as as a spin off like the sarah jane series,THE EIGHTH DOCTOR ADVENTURES.
100000BC
November 15th, 2013 - 7:04pmIt would be more logical to use John Hurt’s new TARDIS from the 50th, as he is between Paul and Chris.
fordpaul2011
November 15th, 2013 - 7:36pmwho says john hurts doctor has a tardis!!!

November 15th, 2013 - 8:09pmjohns hurts tardis is seen briefly in the 50th trailer its slightly different to the 9ths

November 16th, 2013 - 12:14pmAggreed….Paul deserves at the very least another special.Lets get everyone on board for this.

November 18th, 2013 - 4:59pmyou have the eighth doctor figure
The Moffat Paradox
November 15th, 2013 - 12:17pmSo much then for the theory I came across on YouTube that John Hurt’s “Doctor” is really Omega who since the events leading up to the “Pandorica Opens” has been pulling the wool over the actual Doctors eyes and creating false memories since his 11th regeneration.
That this is him trying to use the time locked last great time war/ fluxes in time to finally escape from his anti-matter prison by hoodwinking the 10th and 11 Doctors.
dalek eternal
November 15th, 2013 - 12:02pmI think mcgann could be the best doctor of them all if we was given some more episodes he makes such a big impression in the movie and this minosode that he deserves more episodes
Some bloke
November 15th, 2013 - 2:40pmLook at Big Finish’s range! He’s just as marvelous in them as he is in this 😀
Some bloke
November 15th, 2013 - 10:53amWill this be included on ‘The Day of the Doctor’ dvd?

November 15th, 2013 - 9:40ammaybe the audio plays will be filmed into episodes.
videogamemad00
November 15th, 2013 - 5:40pmWhile it’s a nice idea, I can’t see thst happening.
Exterminator
November 15th, 2013 - 9:01amThere’s always a chance that peter capaldi could have a 2 dr’s type story in series 8 where he meets Paul McCann. How good would that be!
McGann is the Doctor
November 15th, 2013 - 11:43amit wouldn’t be good it would be amazing.
But I doubt he would have a multi-Doctor story in his first season, I’m hoping there is a proper McGann series or atleast he appears in the Day of the Doctor special 🙂
Exterminator
November 15th, 2013 - 11:47amOpps I spelt McGann wrong.
rick facer
November 15th, 2013 - 8:52amI think this episode just shows what a shame and a waste it was not to have a few series of doctor who with paul Mcgann, I think he was one of the best doctors ever, but we never had the chance.
Derek Browell
November 16th, 2013 - 12:23pmI totally agree….Lets ask them to do a McGann Special

November 22nd, 2013 - 6:01pmthe new doctor should by young
Hector Sandler
November 15th, 2013 - 8:02amYell Paul McGann was great as the 8th Doctor & friends with his processor who took over the 7th Sylvester McCoy. It would be great if came back for revival series in 2005 instead of Chris Eccleston. He was the love figure or maybe first doctor to be love figure doing the love scene with his companion.
the astroanut of death
November 15th, 2013 - 7:33amjust noticed the tardis flying to wards the crashing ship had st john ambulance sign
but when it got in the ship it was gone

November 15th, 2013 - 9:35ami saw that to
ROB STATE
November 15th, 2013 - 12:46pmits not the first time that’s happened. remember during season five after the tardis had rebuilt itself in the 11th hour, during the space flight sequences during flesh & stone – it showed the badgeless, different shade of blue doctor 10 tardis. it always amuses me and my 6 year old son – he spots it too! slight continuity blip!
Anonymous
November 15th, 2013 - 3:49pmbut in the commentry of flesh and stone they resolved it by saying now and then the chamilion curcit blips making it go bakc to its previous exterior

November 17th, 2013 - 7:16amAlso in Time of the Angels when the Doctor catches River Song from the ship the Tardis didn’t have the st johns badge either
the astroanut of death
November 15th, 2013 - 7:10amnot that I did not love this episode
I would have preferd them to leave it to the 50th mabry to it in a flash back or somthing
Freya
November 29th, 2013 - 8:14amFlashback to McGann during the 50th episode? Up on the big screen in 3D? Yes, that would have been wonderful!
I hope everyone here has signed the petition for an eighth doctor series. It’s long overdue!

November 15th, 2013 - 4:33amSo good to see Paul McGann on screen as the 8th Doctor, this was beyond expectation and a great tribute to him and his character after so many years on audio. Exciting, thrilling and left me wanting more 9th Doctor on the screen. Heres to the 23rd Nov 2013. I feel like the biggest kid again. FANTASTIC!
CG
November 14th, 2013 - 11:21pmSo does this mean that after John Hurt is the 9th Doctor?
I thought McGann was superb, I would love a few more little episodes with him in it.

November 16th, 2013 - 12:18pmYes, I agree. Lets have a special…..it could provide a break for Peter C ,once he starts his run….
