Apart from the Doctor saying space babies constantly, I thought it was a good episode, and I was amused by the implied swearing with the Nan-E filter. Yes the cgi mouths were off-putting, but let’s not forget that these were actually toddlers in the roles and toddlers can’t properly speak

Been a doctor who fan all my life I can remember hartnell, but space babies was the worst episode of doctor who I’ve ever seen. The new doctor was great but let down I think by a very poor story and poor cgi, come rtd you can do better than this,

This could easily have been a Chibnall/Whittaker story. Distinctly average and not the block busting opening episode that it needed to be for a new series. More of a mid season low stakes story for me. 4/10

Risible. Orphan 55 bad. Now wish RTD hadn’t come back.

Sorry, but not impressed by “Space Babies”. It was just silly and disappointing. Hopefully next episode will be better. Does Ruby’s character feel very similar to Clara?

It’s pretty much in line with RTD’s other opening episodes of a new series (Rose, Partners in Crime etc.). Very silly, but a lot of fun. I’m really liking the 15th Doctor and Ruby so far. One or two minor quibbles, but otherwise a rather good start.

Enjoyed every minute of that. Feels very fresh but still got the Doctor who charm

It wasn’t subtle Gordon. The two leads were good but it was the plot that was weak. It’s okay and episode two was better but still felt to me like RTD was almost deliberately trying to annoy the keyboard warriors! I’ve ordered the DVD and will watch again when I get it but so far I’m not too impressed.

Ncuti and Millie have great chemistry together. Ncuti I think is great so far. Millie I kind of need to see a bit more of her but I do think she’s good from what she’s been given.

Space babies feels like an intro or refresher to the show for those unfamiliar to it or forgotten some of the history of the show so I don’t feel I’m the target audience for this one. As for the story pretty silly and lightweight. Was fun to watch but nothing really special. Not bad but also nothing really above fine. Also was it just me or the bit about refugee’s and pro life was digs at the Tory government?
