What did you Think of Asylum of The Daleks?

What did you Think of Asylum of The Daleks

The first episode of series 7a has finally aired so what did you think?, was it the best episode ever or just average. Vote below.

Matt Smith returns as the oldest time-traveller in the universe. The Time Lord, Amy and Rory are kidnapped by their oldest foe the Daleks and forced on a seemingly impossible mission – to enter the Asylum, a planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of the deadly aliens’ kind.

From the official site…

Steven Moffat, Head Writer and Executive Producer, thanked fans and the press for keeping the secret:

β€œI hope you all got a nice surprise when Jenna popped up in Doctor Who several months early. If so, that surprise came to you courtesy of the frankly magnificent ladies and gentlemen of the press, and of the many Doctor Who forums and blogs too. This show has been seen at four separate screenings, across four different countries and yet not one person gave one spoiler. From all of us on Doctor Who, a heartfelt thank you for helping us tell our story.”

When Oswold said remember me at the end before she got blown up maybe she means remember me so come back for me in her past.
Also Moffat said after the titles we will meet a haracer who is very important to the first let of the series, so maybe she comes back. Also Jenna has seemed to imply she would be back very soon…..

Can’t wait for her return But there is a link here to pics of her if you want them: http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2012/09/jenna-louise-coleman-photos-020912000008.html?m=1

It is less confusing than other Moffat stories too. I think the opening needs to be brighter.

    AN ABSOLUTE BLOODY SHAMBLES πŸ˜›

Moffat should never write a Dalek story every again. He clearly lied about featuring ever Dalek ever just to get more viewers, and he should never have has Oswin erase the Daleks memories of the Doctor.

SHAMBLES of the Daleks – 2/10.

Silence will fall when the question is asked, so whenever someone asks DOCTOR WHO? they forget about him, therefore, silence falls. And he’s gonna go around and make people ask DOCTOR WHO?

  • The 14th Doctor

    September 2nd, 2012 - 8:57am

Disagree. Moffat did indeed make a bit of a mess of the first half of series 6 but this episode was actually good. Not too complicated, dark, and guess what, America is in love with it as well now. If it’s as bad as you are saying, America and the other countries wouldn’t continue buying it.

I completely agree with u doctor who is British and should stay British like Harry potter

    September 2nd, 2012 - 8:55am

I liked it but Steven just made the daleks forget all of the doctor dalek hate each other this could be a tricky thing for steven if he ever wants a dalek story again was this episode really worth perhaps getting rid of the daleks as they won’t remember the doctor please give me ur ideas

That’s a load of rubbish. He brought the bronze ones back because they are true to the original design, they look like proper war machines rather than sweets, and the new ones are hated by most fans. I read my TV guide yestarday, and apparently even Matt Smith hates them.

  • Jake……………………………………………………………hi.

    September 2nd, 2012 - 8:48am

I don’t know I like both of them but Stevens stories r more gripping but Russell’s have a sort of likeable thing about them.

I agree|! RTD never made the Daleks scary.

  • The TARDIS

My mum complained about how it was a bit too slick and perfect. Which I thought sounded a bit weird. But then she said that it had “Lost it’s Britishness” which I actually agreed with. I think the beeb is thinking too much about the American viewers (no offence to any Americans) rather than focusing on the British viewership and the British nature of the show. It did feel just a little bit too Hollywood.

Dalek Agents! Watch Ressurection and you will find out.

  • The TARDIS

    September 2nd, 2012 - 8:25am

Has anyone else noticed – when the Daleks say “Doctor Who?” they aren’t asking his name, they mean “who is the Doctor?” So Moffat’s big “Doctor Who?” Story arc will probably be about his soul rather than his name.
