November 9th, 2014 - 6:25pmNo. It was very disrespectful to the memory of Nicholas Courtney.

November 9th, 2014 - 2:49pmGreat acting, but a terrible episode.
the astronaut of death
November 9th, 2014 - 2:36pmone of the few things I disliked was at the end of last weeks episode we saw the cliff-hanger moment when Danny was going to erase his emotion but that went know where that scene was just forgot.

November 9th, 2014 - 1:58pmI cried my eyes out! I’ve never hated the Master like I did when I was watching this episode, and to top all that, they both ended up with the worst endings!
The Doctor lost and so did Clara, none of them deserved what happened to them 🙁
THE ERGON
November 9th, 2014 - 1:07pmStuffed full of reference to movies and past who stories. In need of some original ideas. Who has sometimes sourced from old movies and books etc..but now its so overcrowded with this stuff and distracting. The doctor is going from fictional to mythical. Mythical characters like robin hood and santa wouldn,t be out of place in a story like ‘the mind robber’ but the crossover into ‘who’ world is misplaced. Who will the doctor join forces with next? The easter bunny?,Willy wonka?

November 9th, 2014 - 1:34pmThat is a very very good point. I hadn’t considered it quite like that before. A very simple, but very true point. We’ll said.

November 16th, 2014 - 1:05pmI mean the myth regarding saint Nicholas. Depends what you believe in I suppose.

November 9th, 2014 - 12:50pmI don’t know what to say.
It left more questions unanswered than at the end of Dark Water.
Why get the cybermen?
Why did the Doctor and Clara lie?
Why kill Osgood?
Why did Clara leave?
I am really disappointed that Missy was killed not dramatically and by the brigadier?
THE ERGON
November 9th, 2014 - 1:08pmToo many unanswered questions for my liking. Gives me a headache thinking about it.
Beep
November 9th, 2014 - 1:31pm1) question doesn’t even make sense, what do you mean why get the cybermen?
2) they lied because they both thought the others lie was an opportunity for them to have a happier life. They sacrificed their happiness for the other person to be happy, but now they’re both unhappy
3) Because Missy is crazy and evil, she once destroyed a quarter of the universe. She killed Osgood because it was fun and she knew it would hurt the doctor
4) as said above, she left because she thought the doctor would be happier living on Gallifrey which she thought he’d found, and the doctor thought she had Danny back
5) The brigadier killing the master was a fitting tribute (though I’m really not convinced he did, that effect was very teleport-esque, and Missy was already preparing for death by the doctor so she teleported away probably)
THE ERGON
November 9th, 2014 - 2:05pmCome to that where did the brigadier and danny have to shoot off to?
Beep
November 9th, 2014 - 2:17pmDanny shot off into the clouds with all the other cybermen and set fire to himself by exploding, burning up all the clouds and saving the human race.
Where CyberBrig was going I’m unsure since all the clouds were gone. Maybe it’ll be picked up one day, maybe we should just think he’ll be out there as a cyberman forever, protecting people.

November 9th, 2014 - 10:00pmOk then how did Missy get to Earth if Gallifrey was still lost
The Dark Doctor
November 9th, 2014 - 11:49amI’ve only 6 words to say about Stephen Moffat:
Don’t you think he looks tired?
THE ERGON
November 9th, 2014 - 12:21pmGreat writer but as producer for who, not so much. He goes way over the top with his ideas. Doctor who now seems to resemble a childrens comic strip more than ever. Tonally its all over the place, but theres some good ideas, just executed badly. There were a few fun moments and I love capaldis trasition throughout but the show needs grounding.

Exterminator
November 9th, 2014 - 11:28amI have a few questions,
Why did Missy create the cyber army only to give it away to the Doctor?
Why did she give Clara the Doctors phone number?
Why did Missy give the Doctor Gallifreys location, only for him to find nothing there?
Where have all the cybermen gone?
Why did Clara lie to the Doctor at the end when he though she’d got Danny back?
Doctor Rules
November 9th, 2014 - 12:57pmShe wanted them to friends again like the old times

November 9th, 2014 - 2:02pmHmmm, ok thanks.
Why does SM do this every time? It gives me a headache trying to work out what’s going on it just ruins it for me. It’s like the whole River Song thing all over again, I didn’t know what the hell was going on there either.
SM tries to be clever and put this story arc through the whole series only for it to fall flat at the end.

November 9th, 2014 - 11:20amI think the acting has been terrific. I love Dr Who and have done since I can remember. I think everyone has there favourite Dr, for different reasons. Yet, I love this Dr and Clara has been great! Long live Dr Who! Love you all my fellow fans.
The Surgeon
November 9th, 2014 - 10:39amWorst finale since Doomsday, and if you don’t know what I thought of that it’s probably for the best.
What was the explanation of Cyber-Pink not being controlled? If it was because of his love for Clara, I’m sorry, but no. They’ve already used love as a way of defeating the Cybermen: Closing Time, and look what happened there (good to see Gareth has been at least consistent with the steaming pile of poo that was the Caretaker).
The best bit by far was Father Christmas at the end!

November 9th, 2014 - 10:19amAnyone else notice the actor for father christmas’s name?
Nick Frost = St Nicholas (father christmas) + Frost (and ice and snow)

November 9th, 2014 - 9:56amNot my favourite finale to be honest, the Brigadier as a Cyberman is rather unsettling, with the amazing CGI available why couldn’t the Brigadier have made an appearance himself?? As for Danny Pink I believe we are due to see more from him after seeing his future relative in Kill The Moon, if dead how can he have offspring… Unless Clara IS pregnant!!!
The Moffat Paradox
November 9th, 2014 - 10:53amIt’s also inconsisent as the 7th Doctor said he was supposed to retire, remmary and die in his sleep.
THE ERGON
November 9th, 2014 - 12:07pmAnd was mentioned in ‘Dinosaurs on a spaceship’,so what,he was pulled from the brink of death and part converted. The cyber processing can,t be that consistent either and a bit coincidental that its both danny and the brig that aren,t.

November 9th, 2014 - 8:50amWas there a specifically good reason as to why we had Clara’s face in the titles instead of The Doctor’s, apart from being silly?
matfav528
November 9th, 2014 - 10:06amAt a guess? She leaves the series and it was probably a tribute to her commitment to the show, Her character “clara” got so much “hate” from die hard fans.
Jenna is a fantastic actor and so is peter. They can’t help what is written for them to act…. the problem is with the writing.
Given all that, they did a fantastic job
MrHaloWho
November 9th, 2014 - 10:20amI think they were trying to trick us into thinking that Clara is the Doctor. Her name was before Capaldi’s as well.
Obsie
November 9th, 2014 - 11:13amWell I for one didn’t hate Clara’s character, hate is a big word and I’m far too small to use it. I just didn’t see any reason to change the titles when we know anyway which one is The Doctor. They did the same thing with the logo from “Asylum of the Daleks” onwards; it just seemed a bit gimmicky, and yes I’m probably being too picky.
Anonymous
November 9th, 2014 - 2:02pmClara’s character at times had better storylines than the Doctor this series, however it was Jenna Coleman’s acting skills that really made Clara. With such a poor doctor this series her ‘Clara’ was needed. It took her acting skills to help compensate for Capaldi’s poor acting skills.

November 9th, 2014 - 3:31pmI hated Clara – and it was well deserved.

November 9th, 2014 - 8:27amSeb said : ‘Am I ok to say SQUEE!?!?!?’ then Missy blew him up.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
November 9th, 2014 - 7:57amSorry folks – WORST – FINALE – EVER.
Missy is not the Master. No real explanation was given to confirm she was, so no, she was not the Master, I don’t have to believe she is, no one has too believe she is.
Like I said last weekend, the whole Missy is the Master thing just smacks of desperation for people who want a female Doctor so badly which is NEVER going to happen.
I’m not sexist, but having the Doctor suddenly developing ‘lady parts’ is a bad idea when you know that would obviously be having fun playing with himself if you get what I mean.
I’m not against the idea of a female Doctor IF it turned out a female Doctor was not a future version of our Doctor, but a parallel universe incarnation of him where the Doctor has always been female instead, played by actresses Wilma Hartnell, Pamela Troughton, Joanna Pertwee and the like in a parallel universe, that wouldn’t bother me in that respect, but as a future version of our Doctor, no, bad idea, don’t do ever do it.

November 9th, 2014 - 11:31amWhole-heartedly disagree. Aside from the fact I thought it was a well-paced, well directed, well scripted episode, I thought Michelle Gomez was AMAZING as the Master. Why are you so desperate to drop her from the canon? I’m really not trying to challenge you here, I’m genuinely curious. What did she do wrong in your eyes? Also, I don’t really get what you mean about ‘playing with him/herself’ – seems like a totally irrelevant and strange issue that offers nothing to the argument of him not being played by a woman. But each to their own I guess.

November 9th, 2014 - 6:15amWas not Danny and clara’s great great grandson in an earlier episode with reflections back to clara’s time? and if that is true, how come Danny is now somewhere else? (not quiet dead perhaps).
Loved the missy character
Lethbridge stuart character was unnecessary unless it was not him at all and we are led to believe it. After all it was assumed and not confirmed that it was.
It may as well possibly been missy regenerated. Often the doctor has taken faces from his earlier encounters.
Galifrey is at those co ordinates but still Locked into another dimension

November 9th, 2014 - 6:20amI mean missy regenerated to look like the brigadiers daughter

Peking Homunculus
November 9th, 2014 - 5:59amI actually rather enjoyed the episode.
Cyberman or not, the Brigadier just shot the Master from beyond the grave. As far as the emotional issues the Doctor and Clara are hiding, that’s evidence of the intention of future character development, something which irritating critics often complain is absent. Not all of the Doctor’s companions can be perfect, particularly if they are chosen for him by the Master.
Mralexander25
November 9th, 2014 - 4:28amSo what do you people think now?
1. She threatened to destroy all of the tardis keys
2. She tried to blackmail the Doctor into changing history
3. The Doctor was on a crashing plane and she tried to force him to do “only what she wanted” , “come take the chip out of Danny or I wont talk to you”.
4. She was going to make the Doctor murder Missy. I found myself wanting to see the Master, more than I wanted to see Clara.
Combine all of this with the fact that she’s not interesting, she’s not endearing, she’s shallow, she’s not Amy, Rose, Donna, River, Martha or even Sarah Jane for crying out loud.
Capaldi is great … but Clara is all over the place. She has yet to do something to make me say “Wow she’s brilliant” … if they had kept her as a computer genius then maybe, but the Doctor acts as if she is his heart and soul. We have yet to see her do something worthy of that admiration.
Just whine, whine, whine, cry, try to be bossy like Donna, think I love him like Rose and Martha and not look anywhere near as hot as Amy!
And I’m all for strong women… My mother is strong woman. But Clara is not strong, she is arrogant. She has not been helpful in a while, and it makes her character pointless. Maybe if they left her as a computer genius, then that would have been interesting… But really is she the one to judge if the Doctor is a “Good Man”? She’s not even a “Good Woman”, so how would she know?
And the whole Clara and Mr Pink thing is annoying. Is their purpose to be the opposite of everything we loved about Amy and Rory? And speaking for myself and all of my fellows in Armed Services across the globe, STOP BEING SUCH A WHINNY !#$@!#. Cry, Cry, Cry….. The Doctor is a General and I’m just a little cog in the machine. We go to war, we bring things back, but we didn’t become magically wiser than a 1000 year old Time Lord in the process.
I hate the whole thing… Danny, the little girl who is destined to become a dropout, the elementary school rejects, the attack of the killer trees, the space orient express (a little too Titanic in space for me, wink) There is no originality, no character development and it makes Clara tiresome.
Make it STOP!!!!
The Doctor and Handles
November 9th, 2014 - 8:19amI think Clara has been brilliant in this series.

November 9th, 2014 - 9:56amThanks, I think you’ve just said everything that’s been buzzing round in my head, so now we’ve both got it off our chests.
Big D
November 9th, 2014 - 10:22amI completely agree with you and have said as much previously but not so eloquently.
The fault for me lies squarely with Steven Moffat. He managed to turn a fantastic companion into the one youve outlined above.
I loved Clara pre this series (infact I said on here that she was my second favourite companion ever to the great Sarah Jane Smith) but this series has been made the worse by SMs decision to focus on her and Danny, whilst at the same time showing great disrespect for both Peter Capaldi and Doctor Who in general.
I found myself wishing, during this episode, that Missy would team up with the Doctor and travelled together instead of a human companion.
Absolutely loved Missy and Michelle Gomez needs every plaudit going for her portrayal.
Mystery Man
November 9th, 2014 - 3:32amI do not mean to be a critic but Death in Heaven was the most depressing out of all of the episodes with a death of a loved one, the lie of the Doctor’s lost home, and the lie about Danny Pink.
gbswales
November 9th, 2014 - 12:27amI just hope that Clara isn’t leaving I feel she has a lot more to give the show yet
The Moffat Paradox
November 8th, 2014 - 11:51pmSince the Doctor and Missy/The Master like sounding (as the actors are in reality) Scottish then as we might say in Scotland:
A hae ma doots aboot the Master really bein deid!

November 8th, 2014 - 11:52pmIt’s done the opposite for me. It’s ruined the memory of his character…
How can I watch him fighting Cybermen in The Invasion now knowing he’s destined to be one?!
Obsie
November 9th, 2014 - 12:27amI really didn’t see the point of The Brigadier being a Cyberman, ok he saved his daughter but I’d rather the memory of him be left as the way it was. Somehow I think the very idea would have been abhorrent to the character himself.
THE ERGON
November 9th, 2014 - 12:09pmAnd was mentioned in ‘Dinosaurs on a spaceship’,so what,he was pulled from the brink of death and part converted. The cyber processing can,t be that consistent either and a bit coincidental that its both danny and the brig that aren,t.

The TARDIS
November 8th, 2014 - 10:46pmPerhaps the thing I like most about Death in Heaven is that it will shut up all of the RTD haters who think his finales are rubbish because they are OTT, bombastic ego building and frequently nonsensical because now Moffat has given them one written by him so they should stop compaining! Yes, they are big and bombastic – but brilliantly so!
The TARDIS
November 8th, 2014 - 10:47pmOkay, that came out a bit differently to how I intended it to…
