What Did You Think of Nightmare in Silver?
What Did You Think of Nightmare in Silver?
Hedgewick’s World of Wonders was once the greatest theme park in the galaxy, but it’s now the dilapidated home to a shabby showman, a chess-playing dwarf and a dysfunctional army platoon.
When the Doctor, Clara, Artie and Angie arrive, the last thing they expect is the re-emergence of one of the Doctor’s oldest foes. The Cybermen are back
Now that the 7th episode of series 7b has aired in the UK what did you think?, was it the best episode ever or just average.

May 12th, 2013 - 1:43pmReally? Matt Smith is a much better actor, I don’t miss DT’s over-acting.

May 12th, 2013 - 1:39pm@the eternal doctor If they had bumped off one of the kids it might of improved the episode we need proper shocks not the jokey half resolved plots we’ve been getting.

May 12th, 2013 - 1:16pmHey guys Niel Gaiman said he wanted to make this one like THE TOOM OF THE CYBERMEN and he did because the toombs looked the same only in colour and bigger and also at the end when the planet blew up a CYBERMITE survived and when the toombs were destoyed IN TOOM OF THE CYBERMEN a CYBERMAT survived.
The new cbermen could evenchualy be imortal because if four cybermen were destroyed by GOLD,THE SOLVANT CLEANING FLUID, IMPLODING PLANET OR THOSE HAND PULSER THINGS THE OTHERS WOULD JUST UPGRADE THEMSELVS AND THOSE THINGS I JUST SAID WOULD NOT WORK AND THE WOULD BE IMORTAL

May 12th, 2013 - 12:12pm@Moosey, I’m not knocking Moffat nor demanding his booting out,the man is a great writer (Blink,Empty Child etc)it’s just that he seems to making Dr Who to please himself and not the viewers, people are stopping watching it my two boys definately have. I think the format needs to be changed all this mysterious companion nonsense has to stop,we need to get back to traditional Dr Who,get rid of eye candy Clara and start pleasing the viewers (not just the fans)full respect to Matt Smith if he wasn’t such a good actor a fair few of the recent stories could have been a lot worse. @Booboo I agree about classic who totally maybe a few classic type stories would help improve things, and before anyone starts jumping all over me for my opinions I’ve been a fan since the the show started (1963)and actually feel guilty saying anything bad about the show.
cyberman2
May 12th, 2013 - 12:08pmps glad they returned the cyber planner and great idea that it was in the doctors mind and took over minds

May 12th, 2013 - 12:04pmIn my opinion it would have been better if they showed them upgrading people into proper Cybermen. That’s what was scary about them, the upgrading and forcing someone to become emotionless. If they had that in I feel like it would be better.

May 12th, 2013 - 11:59amOne of the best episodes ever!!!
It was brilliant to see the new cyber-men and they were much better than I thought they would be. It was also to see inside the Doctor’s mind. I loved how at the end there was a single cyber-mite that was still alive, so the cyber-men aren’t completely extinct.
I loved it!
You know WHO
May 12th, 2013 - 11:54amI am 15 years old. I have watched Doctor Who since it came back in 2005, and have also seen lots of the classics. 2013 is supposed the most superb year of Doctor Who so far for the 50th anniversary, but it is just getting worse and worse. Ever since 2010, series 5, Doctor Who has gone downhill . The Doctor acts like a grinning idiot for 90% of the time, the story lines are unclear and not of a high standard, classic enemies like the Daleks and Cybermen are not getting good stories; Asylum of the Daleks was meant to have every type of Dalek back,it did n’t, and I was hoping that Nightmare in Silver was finally going to explain the relation ship between the Cybus Cybermen and the original Cybermen. Where are these new Cybermen even from? BBC please restore Doctor Who to a solid Sci Fi show suitable for all ages. Thank You

May 12th, 2013 - 11:46amCompared to Closing Time, this episode is far better in every respect. I like the idea of the cybermen upgrading themselves, especially where they can adapt to different obsticles, makes me think the Daleks will have their work cut out for them.
As a fan of the Cybermen I love the new design, though I am afraid this makes the old cybermen feel like old news now. But then I guess they take their place with the other cybermen bofore them and become classic cybermen.

May 12th, 2013 - 10:41amWhat can I say one of the best episodes this season, now they have got rid of Amy and Rory , it’s time the cyber men got a proper upgrade, they only let down was the kids.
To say Moffat should go is a bit sad, I love the classic stories and also love the new, it’s all about moving with the times. Having a proper defined relationship between companion and doctor helps make the stories stronger.
As fans we cannot go backwards we must go forward, it has to be interesting for the children of today or it will die out as it did at the end of the 80’s.
As a fan of of the show since the beginning I have seen alot of changes, not all great, but it’s kept this show going 50 years. You know the next doctor just could be a new favourite

May 12th, 2013 - 10:18amMeh…it was all right. Good story but if I’m honest the new Cybermen were disappointing. The fact they speak less makes them seem even more like robots

May 12th, 2013 - 10:05amgot to admit i’m to much stuck in the classic era, i can watch many of those stories over and over but last nights did nothing for me, i can see why its enjoyable for many, last weeks had many + points but apart from Warwick Davis there was little here for me this time.

May 12th, 2013 - 10:04amThis was the first time I have ever jumped at an episode of dr who. And I loved the new cybermen, to upgrade whenever there is an problem is a great idea, and the scene with the cyberman running whilt everyone was in slow motion was genius! I want to see an episode with the cybermen taking over present day earth, and see how they are defeated then!
