What did You Think of Series 10 Episode 3 Thin Ice ?

Now that the third episode of series 10 has been aired what did you think? Was it everything you had hoped for or not what you expected.

In Regency England, beneath the frozen Thames, something is stirring.

The Doctor and Bill arrive at the last of the great frost fairs, and find themselves investigating a string of impossible disappearances – people have been vanishing on the ice!

Bill is about to discover that the past is more like her world than she expected, and that not all monsters come from outer space…

The Doctor is played by Peter Capaldi, Bill by Pearl Mackie and Nardole by Matt Lucas.

No. It’s Adric inside the Vault. The Doctor felt guilty after rescuing Clara, that he didn’t save Adric. So he went back in time and saved him just before the space freighter crashed into the Earth. Adric only then travelled with the 12th Doctor for a short time, as the Doctor had a short fuse. So, he banished Adric to the Vault. 🙂

The Pyramid at the End of the World doesn’t have anything to do with Sutek as far as I know, it’s Part 2 of a 3 parter with “The Monks” and the Truth Police and all that.

I’m sure Sutek would be awesome enough to make up for it lol

Oh, that’d be brilliant! More casual viewers could be left a little puzzled though.

‘He’s my responsibility now’ – the 10th Doctor
‘What your just gonna keep me’ – the Master

“Human progress isn’t measured by industry. It’s measured by the value you place on a life. An unimportant life. A life without privilege. The boy who died on the river, that boy’s value is your value. That’s what defines an age. That’s…what defines a species.”

Words to live by. Speeches like that are part of the reason I love Doctor Who.

I know the master had the sound in his head, but the prophecy of the doctor’s death as in he will knock 4 times referred to Wilf in the radiation booth and not the master, oh and by the way it probably is the master in there.

I have an idea whats in that vault….. it’s Clara Oswald. In all serious I think it will Sutek the Destroyer since one of the episodes later this series is called “The Pyramid at the End of the World”

Alright, alright, i was only stating my opinion. And Whorules, the Master had the 4 knock sound in his head, not Wilf.

3 lots of 3 knocks at first and then 2 lots of 4 knocks afterwards. That’s what I heard.

Doesn’t mean it’s the Master though.

    April 29th, 2017 - 8:23pm

Oh, and “he will knock 4 times” referred to Wilfred mott not the master anyway

Just before it cut to the next time bit, it went knock, knock, knock….. knock

12th Doctor & Bill are the best Doctor/companion pair since 7th Doctor/Ace in my opinion. The scene where the Doctor doesn’t rescue the boy in the ice but gets his screwdriver instead, and the emotion from Bill at his actions are so reminiscent of the 7th Doc/Ace. Not the best of the new episodes tonight but more great character building .
