I wansn’t talking about The End Of Time. Just in general, light hearted episodes tend to be less realistic an more fairy tale like.

I really hope you’re not implying that you thought TEOT was realistic. The human race become “the master race”? Gallifrey bumping Earth out of it’s place?

And since when did Doctor Who have to be realistic. It’s a sci-fi show at heart, it doesn’t have to be realistic. It can be whatever it wants to be.

The 50th was “alright” with Tom but I loved the “Adventure in space and time”, especially the moment with Bill and Verity being there for each other …. Peter Davison’s comedy with Colin,Sylvester and Peter Jackson had me and my lads splitting our sides with laughter…..

John is doctor 8.5 ( don’t know why) and Peter is going to be the 12th and then there will be a 13th and Moffat said that he might give a twist to save the doctor

the ninth, tenth and eleventh doctor’s all still think gallifrey was destroyed, (john hurt says he will not remember saving gallifrey) the eleventh doctor remembers saving gallifrey from this point on. there, easy, not stupid at all, a simple explaination that means all previous stories still stand.

    November 24th, 2013 - 12:06am

It was bordering on epic.Would like to have seen more though of the Time War from the Hurt Doctor’s regeneration from the 8th to his older self with the Time Lords dishing it out more to the Daleks as well as taking it. Otherwise a good story as a 50th annitversary tribute.

Highlight for me was to see the TARDIS on the banks of the river Wye as seen from Chepstow Castle.

Next highlight was Tom Baker as the CURATOR

at the end..he seemed emotional and nearly overwhelmed by being in the show.. as were we all.. Well done Tom..

Such a hard show to conjure up for a fiftieth but congratulations to BBC Wales again..

ps It would be great to see a Dr Who episode based around bleak old railway stations in the welsh mountains and steam engines..one near Pontypool!!

Don’t try to explain Moffat’s episodes. They’re not even complex, they’re just… stupid.

Does this mean the 9th Doctor wasn’t battle-scarred anymore? And if all 13 Doctors save Gallifrey including future incarnations (Capaldi) then is that where the line ends?

  • videogamemad00

    November 23rd, 2013 - 11:45pm

So David Tennant is still The Doctor. I can watch Matt Smith episodes without the pain of know it’s canon! YAY! This is a big day of progress in Doctor Who.

Overall Im a bit disappointedat this moment in time. The premise was good as were our heroes and Clara, as always was great. I think my issue was that it all felt a little rushed in parts. If it had had another 30 minutes or so and explored each segment and character a little further, I think it could have been a terrific show. However I shall rewatch it tomorrow and if I change my opinion I’ll let you know.
    P.S Rubbish afterparty show.
    P.P.S Absolutely brilliant Five(ish)Doctors.
