What Did You Think of The Time of the Doctor?
Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the massed forces of the universe’s deadliest species gather, drawn to a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars – and amongst them, the Doctor.
Rescuing Clara from a family Christmas dinner, the Time Lord and his best friend must learn what this enigmatic signal means for his own fate and that of the universe.

December 25th, 2013 - 8:51pmHis final words were “I will always remember when the doctor was me”
The Big Blue Box
December 25th, 2013 - 8:51pmFor me, the great thing was not just the finale butnthe fact that there is so much more now to be imagined up by fans now about what happened in the battle of Trenzalore. Peter is going to be great and Matt Smith was fantastic until the end of his reign.
One question…
Do you know how to fly this thing.

December 25th, 2013 - 8:50pmIt was a good story. But i was disapointed about the regeneration scene very low key not like the others explosive. we will just have to wait tilll his 1st story to find out how he is going to play it.

December 25th, 2013 - 8:55pmIt was good but I was dissapointed that there was no Golden stuff coming out of him like usual, only a bang

December 31st, 2013 - 1:55amELEVEN CALLED IT A “RESET,” AND IT WAS THE MOST VIOLENT REGENERATION IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF “DOCTOR WHO.”
TomBakersBiggestFan
January 1st, 2014 - 12:43pmGuys, watch some classic who, the “golden stuff” only happens during the new regeneration’s. The only “explosive” regeneration’s there has been are DT’s and MS’s.
RegeneratingTim3L0rds
February 10th, 2014 - 10:47pma reply to matt9982: I know what usually happens when the Doctor regenerates, there’s the golden light. When 11 regenerated, there was only a small amount of the gold light, not really noticeable.

December 25th, 2013 - 8:48pmI am crying the hardest I have ever cried- and there’s so many reasons! Farewell Matt Smith- you were my doctor.

December 25th, 2013 - 8:50pmIt’s just a shame I’m struggling to enjoy Peter Capaldi’s AMAZING first sequence because I’m still reeling from such a sad farewell

December 25th, 2013 - 9:10pmI know what you mean! I’m gonna have to rewatch it tomorrow and see if I can watch it properly! ;-;

December 25th, 2013 - 8:48pmGive peter a chance. Were all still upset because we knew it was matts final story and I think he did his regeneration farewell speech with aplomb. hes going to take some beating I know, but in time we may come to feel the same way about peter as we did with matt. remember a lot were unsure about him after tenant and he surpassed himself. I also predicted amy turning up. It seemed appropriate for his swansong.

December 25th, 2013 - 8:47pmOh dear. Moffat’s xmas specials have been consistently poor and this was no exception. It was like they were trying to squeeze in every alien going just to look impressive. A pity they didn’t squeeze in a decent story.
The Moffat Paradox
December 26th, 2013 - 12:06amYes dont have a story with all the Doctor`s key enemies in place unless your going to convicingly and intelligently have them either slug it out with each other for some big prize or as in the “Pandorica Opens” act in unison out of a shared common interest. This seems a bit more like “Plan 9 From Outer Space” on first viewing. The 50th special was far better.
JJ
December 26th, 2013 - 1:12amI agree. Too many of the aliens, absolutely no need for them or it. Steven Moffat’s even christmas special’s have been good: A Christmas Carol, The Snowmen. But his odds have been very disappointing with the worst: The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe, and the second worst ever: The Time Of The Doctor. Moffat, I think it’s you who needs a new burst of life and to regenerate in a flash. Another failed episode from 2013, just like the 50th. Only good 2013 episode was The Name Of The Doctor and The Bells Of Saint John was ok-ish.

December 26th, 2013 - 10:46amOne more thing – the Sontarans have been turned into a cheap joke appearing only for a bit of (attempted) humour. Not good.
Doctor of Lord
December 25th, 2013 - 8:45pmI would give the episode a 4/5 because I still think that there should’ve been a few more things wrapped up. But I had a tear running down my face when I saw Amy. However, it was runied by a quick regeneration and not enough shown by Peter Capaldi, but we’ll have to wait until late August/ early September. :,(
darylcharles
December 25th, 2013 - 8:48pmI agree about the regeneration mate! Also, I think it could at least of shown some of the Time Lords!!!
Doctor of Lord
December 25th, 2013 - 8:58pmWe’ll probably see the Time Lords in the series 8 finale no doubt. I think – and everyone else obviously – was that the teary speech Matt Smith gave just before his regeneration was not only the 11th (or 13th?) saying farewell but it was actually Matt Smith saying farewell too.

December 26th, 2013 - 1:14amI love Doctor Who, but that episode was not Doctor Who, that was something else. That was the equivalent of 1989 but worse!

December 25th, 2013 - 8:42pmI think I only really realized how great a Doctor Matt Smith has been, when he gave his final speech to Clara. Of course by then it was far too late.

December 25th, 2013 - 8:41pmgoodish episode Matt great as always and then my opinion i dont like peter capaldi i know i haven’t give him a chance yet but i cant see the spark that the doctor has within him #R.I.P.11

December 25th, 2013 - 8:40pmIt was not really what i was expecting because the doctor kept turning old and i wanted him to stay young the whole time and no paradigm daleks? The best part was when calpadi came and i think he will be awesom

December 25th, 2013 - 8:39pmSuch an amazing episode ! , I’m very intrigued with Capaldi though. Didn’t get to see much of him so don’t have an opinion yet. Still a brilliant episode and I’m really going to miss Matt Smith , and the Amy Pond part was so emotional , I wanted to cry …..

Silence Will Still Fall
December 25th, 2013 - 9:02pmReally! i mean come on seriously! you’re judging one of britan’s finest actors in the most iconic role in television history after what 30 seconds.Peter will be one of, if not the greatest incarnations of the doctor yet and if you’re still that defeatest this is obviously the wrong show to watch and love.
DrD
December 25th, 2013 - 9:06pmSilence wiill still fall, could agree more. Hilarious people are saying ‘I’ll nevr watch again’ after 30 seconds. Baby, pram?
JJ
December 26th, 2013 - 1:17amWhen he was cast: He’s gonna be rubbish
Now: Hopefully, just hopefully, he might be good. I’ll give him a chance.
Either way he will be a failed Doctor, not because of him, but because the writers from series 7 part 2 are all coming back to Steven Moffat’s friends club, where he just invited his friends, no matter how rubbish the episode. Hello Peter Capaldi! Good Luck!
Silence Will Still Fall
December 26th, 2013 - 2:17amIt’s as simple as this if you dislike him after 25-30 seconds find another show! because we’re sick of this negative garbage every time we get someone new to take over as our favourite madman with a box!

December 25th, 2013 - 8:37pmWhat i loved is so many if us wanted the song from Rings of Akhaten to play when he regenerated and it did and just made me burst into tears and i loved his speech to clara
Mr Byzantium
December 25th, 2013 - 8:37pmGod, that was awful
very very very bizarre, it was just a mess.
nothing made sense!
The regeneration scene was too long and didnt feel emoitional at all because of this.
Then the change-what was that? far too quick…
And Capaldi, oh no HE WAS RUBBISH
I knew I wouldnt like him that much but for goodness sake!
Not impressed Moffat! Give up with these complicated stories-I’ve just about had enough of them

December 25th, 2013 - 9:04pmIt is the complicated stories that make this programme what it is, wonderful! Rather than just looking and consuming like a baby bird swallowing mama’s chewed up worms, you have to get in there and interpret.

December 26th, 2013 - 1:18amYAY! I absolutely AGREE! I give Doctor Who another year.

December 26th, 2013 - 1:47amHow can you hate capaldi if he was only on for about 20 seconds.

December 26th, 2013 - 2:02amPeter will be one of the best ever! just wait for these so called “fans” to jump on the bandwagon like they did with matt.
JJ
December 26th, 2013 - 3:46pmI thought Matt would be good. Peter, I’m not so sure, but I will give him a chance. It’s just I know the stories will be rubbish. It’ll just be a repeat of series 7 part 2.

December 25th, 2013 - 11:27pmI think season seven is by far the best Matt has done , thank god Amy bloody pond has gone. But the regeneration story seemed a bit rushed, the regeneration was quick because it was a reboot , next time you should listen to what is said in the episode

December 26th, 2013 - 3:49pmExcuse me, Coronation Street used to be my second favourite programme, Doctor Who came first. During series 7 part 2, Doctor Who became my second and Coronation Street became my best. It is miles better than the trash that is happening on Who right now. Coronation Street is good and gets better viewing figures. CORONATION STREET!
