December 26th, 2013 - 1:18amYAY! I absolutely AGREE! I give Doctor Who another year.
JJ
December 26th, 2013 - 1:17amWhen he was cast: He’s gonna be rubbish
Now: Hopefully, just hopefully, he might be good. I’ll give him a chance.
Either way he will be a failed Doctor, not because of him, but because the writers from series 7 part 2 are all coming back to Steven Moffat’s friends club, where he just invited his friends, no matter how rubbish the episode. Hello Peter Capaldi! Good Luck!

December 26th, 2013 - 1:14amI love Doctor Who, but that episode was not Doctor Who, that was something else. That was the equivalent of 1989 but worse!

December 26th, 2013 - 1:13ampathetic episode

December 26th, 2013 - 1:12amI agree. Too many of the aliens, absolutely no need for them or it. Steven Moffat’s even christmas special’s have been good: A Christmas Carol, The Snowmen. But his odds have been very disappointing with the worst: The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe, and the second worst ever: The Time Of The Doctor. Moffat, I think it’s you who needs a new burst of life and to regenerate in a flash. Another failed episode from 2013, just like the 50th. Only good 2013 episode was The Name Of The Doctor and The Bells Of Saint John was ok-ish.

December 26th, 2013 - 12:59amAgree, needs a re-watch and just hope Capaldi is good and the writing. Apparently the writers for series 7 part 2 are coming back, oh dear! Now there’s trouble! Congratulations Peter Capaldi, your the Doctor! Good luck, Peter Capaldi, your gonna need it. Why? Because the writers from series 7 part 2 are coming back! Hurray! Capaldi’s Doctor doesn’t stand a chance. No wonder Matt Smith, the greatest Doctor to have ever been born from a glowing light called Regeneration!
JJ
December 26th, 2013 - 12:55amCouldn’t agree more. Just like the 50th…. An absolute TARDIS CRASH!
JJ
December 26th, 2013 - 12:55amI agree, I just didn’t think it was a well mapped and thought out episode and was an appalling send off to Matt Smith’s doctor. My favourite. I think the only good farewell episode of a Doctor of the new and revived series, which was written very well, almost perfectly, was The Parting Of The Ways, Christopher Eccleston’s final bow as The Doctor. The Doctor of the best series so far and my third favourite Doctor.

December 26th, 2013 - 12:10amI found the episode very dissapointing. There wasn’t really an emotional build up to his regeneration like Tennant’s. Also I didn’t like how he regenerated in a flash and the fact that he didn’t say Geronimo annoyed me. So I was very dissapointed but I liked Peter Capaldi’s first scene.
The Moffat Paradox
December 26th, 2013 - 12:06amYes dont have a story with all the Doctor`s key enemies in place unless your going to convicingly and intelligently have them either slug it out with each other for some big prize or as in the “Pandorica Opens” act in unison out of a shared common interest. This seems a bit more like “Plan 9 From Outer Space” on first viewing. The 50th special was far better.
Mr Disappointed
December 25th, 2013 - 11:41pmA truly, truly awful and unintelligible episode with little suspense, little tension and little drama. Moffat’s tenure is just poor, poor, poor.

December 25th, 2013 - 11:32pmDid you just say Darleks?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

December 25th, 2013 - 11:27pmI think season seven is by far the best Matt has done , thank god Amy bloody pond has gone. But the regeneration story seemed a bit rushed, the regeneration was quick because it was a reboot , next time you should listen to what is said in the episode

December 25th, 2013 - 11:21pmThe regeneration wasn’t that confusing, It looks like he regenerated when he took out the Darleks, only he was holding onto the 11th Doctors look before finally letting go.

December 25th, 2013 - 11:02pmUgh, where shall I begin?
Simple, interesting but disapointing. I mean, it’s Smith’s final adventure, and all they do is get him to defend a town for 300 years. I really do someone agrees that the Cybermen and the Weeping Angels were pointless. Once scene for the Angels and one scene for the Cybermen plus a very tiny space in a scene.
Finally we know what’s behind the Doctor’s hotel room! Did NOT expect the time crack at all! And I would have never known it would return, never actually considered it.
Amy’s special appearance! 🙁 Oh my god, it made me want to cry (but of course, I didn’t). Even thoug her wig looked terrible, she just HAD to return for that. Really hope something like that happens again, not only for Amy, but also for other companions.
Lastly, we have Mr Capaldi. Yes yes, we all never like the new Doctor, but we can always tell whether they will be good or not. Even though I dearly missed Tennant, I could tell Smith was not going to be so bad after all. But Capaldi’s intro? Dear me, bad impressions. First of all, while watching Smith’s final scene wasn’t the best place to blink at (Hey, is that a hand in the snow? 😉 ). Blink and you’ll miss it, because then I realise I was staring at Capaldi. I thought I was hallucinating. But no, that’s not what I am complaining about. I am very excited to see the dark side of the Doctor, but I felt as if he tried to be humorous but failed.
Overall, the episode wasn’t to bad but I think I need to watch it again! 7/10 🙂
Cyber10Dalek
December 25th, 2013 - 11:01pmLoved the scene where the Doctor said `How those cyber evenings must go by` lol
Scott’s TARDIS
December 25th, 2013 - 10:51pmAlthough I would’ve thought the paradigm Daleks would have made an appearance, seeing as they are Matt’s Daleks.

December 25th, 2013 - 10:50pm1 word for Time of the Doctor this is that word
AMAZING
Scott’s TARDIS
December 25th, 2013 - 10:46pmI didn’t cry even though I was expecting to cry, and I did have that horrible feeling in my throat, but when Peter came in I just laughed, I think he’ll be brilliant, excellent charisma in my opinion.

December 25th, 2013 - 10:41pmThis was a pleasant episode with some well written emotional parts,in some ways as good as the 50th……….It’s time you gave us oldies a chance…Peter will do fine and Matt was great as an oldie too .

December 25th, 2013 - 10:38pmI think Peter will be the perfect man for the job!
geronimo2605
December 25th, 2013 - 10:34pmIt was good, not incredible, just good. Some of the story dragged on a little bit too much for my liking, and the regeneration was played up a lot, especially as the actual regeneration was a slight anticlimax for me because it was so short, it was literally a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment.
But don’t boo me yet, I still cried in front of my family when Amy turned up!
The astronaut of death
December 25th, 2013 - 10:12pmI think capaldi a first doctor who apprehended did not really give much out about his doctor is was just a confused man
DrWhoTwins
December 25th, 2013 - 9:42pmBrilliant episode, really enjoyed it and such a touching finish to Eleven’s era. Really can’t wait for series 8, Peter Capaldi will be a great Doctor.

December 25th, 2013 - 9:35pmWell most of the episode lost me but full marks on the acting. Being an old timer I prefer the regeneration stories when it’s not planted so early on that he’s going to die – look how effective Caves of Androzani is when the Doctor has seemingly got a cure, then doesn’t and quickly changes. Capaldi I think will be great but he’ll only be as good as the stories, and I think a return to basics works better for me – don’t remember the Tennant era even being so complicated. Merry Christmas

December 25th, 2013 - 9:34pmHmmm, I should be really sad but all I can think about is how much I want a Capaldi regeneration figure…. RIP 11
