Poll – Now that the third episode of Torchwood Miracle Day – Dead Of Night has aired in various counties, what did you think? Does Torchwood just get better and better or was it not as good as you had hoped.
Torchwood goes on the run and finds a new enemy, but as they launch a raid on PhiCorp headquarters, Jack must confront the mysterious Oswald Danes.

July 29th, 2011 - 10:14amDisgusting? It wasn’t pornographic at all, other than a few bottoms and a few moans. That’s not much to call disgusting. I found the two middle aged guys kissing in the bar more disgusting, but I didn’t think much of it. What about Rex and his girl? Did you think of their ‘scene’ as disgusting? While I agree they didn’t serve much plot purpose altogether, this isn’t a kid’s show. It’s for teenagers and adults, who can cope with this content.

July 29th, 2011 - 9:23amYes, I agree with you there. Part 3 seemed to drag along and there was no need for the disgusting gay scene. I can tolerate the innuendo but there are probably some children watching this and there is no need to have scenes like that in a sci-fi show.
The first 2 episodes were promising but it now looks as though the plot will thin out over the next few weeks. I actually watched all of the children of earth dvd yesterday and you can see the difference in quality of writing. Sorry RTD, but the american influence has , in my opinion , ruined Torchwood.

July 28th, 2011 - 11:22pmI agree, the two “graphic” scenes were totally gratuitous and came out of nowhere. They seem to be trying to pad this out to last ten weeks as opposed to the five sharp and concise Children of Earth episodes.

now? i don’t.
They have ruined a show i once loved. the show which was filled with mysterious and wonderful aliens, has now turned into a sort of “police detection/secret agent” show. it’s terrible.
and i know Torchwood is aimed at an older audience, but bear in mind some kids do watch it. and i thought the scene with Captain jack and that other dude was gross.
i won’t be watching next week.

July 28th, 2011 - 10:28pmi think series 1 and 2 might have worked better if they used an ongoing story as children of earth and miracle day have done but then sometimes i wish children of earth and miracle day would seperate the episodes like in series 1 and 2 – its a confusing one

and that torchwood and america works perfectly together! i was a little unsure about bill pullmans “villian” character until this episode when we have finally seen a glimpse of his ruthless side i cant see why the bbc has cut the gay scene its really not too graphic like the bbc have been saying! the only thing im hoping that will happen later in the series is that dr vera joins the team

July 24th, 2011 - 10:27amIt seems RDL has allowed Torchwood to be put through an “American TV” blender and has lost the core values of the show. I was never a big fan of TW…Series 1 and 2 were dull, series was very good – but what it had going for it was the Sci-Fi content. Series 4 is nothing more than a CIA/Police drama…and a bad one of that. Besides the “miracle” we are a third ofthe way through the series and there is not so much of a sniff of true sci-fi.

By far the only three dimentional character (and only decent actor) who seems to get the only interesting dialogue is Dr Vera Juarez. The two American CIA characters are non entities, John Barrowman is a joke and Eve Myles over kills the Welsh thing “Oooooh”

July 23rd, 2011 - 12:42pmLoved it the series is just getting better and better, I can’t believe the BBC are actually cutting Jacks'(ahem)romantic scene, having just watched the downloaded Starz version I honestly do not think there is anything too over the top. But obviously parental descretion must apply.
