You missed the point Haza14, i’m referring to this Series of “Torchwood” Not “Doctor Who” 2005-2009 era.

BTW…Whats wrong with Wonky Sets and DALEKS that can’t climb stairs.
    Those Episodes were Classics…lol

(Its Great Being in a Minority, Thanks dude)

Just watched episode 4. What has happened to Torchwood? The ‘plot’ is so loosely held together, it drags on with very little actually happening or being revealed and pointless dialogue. As for episode 3, my husband missed it and after watching episode 4 he said he hadn’t noticed he had really missed anything. So many episodes to go but little happening. Give us quality not quantity!! If Torchwood was popular in the US then they obviously liked it made the British way,
    i.e. plot!!
    what the hell happened Russell??

Just because you can doesn’t mean everyone can they have just as much of right to express their opinions without being told “deal with it” Not everyone is the same.

I’m 12 I can deal with it so why shouldn’t anyone else be able to seriously that’s no worse than my sex-ed a little more realistic admittadly

i love the series so far-the first episode was very american with the car chase along the beach, but it has become slightly more ‘down to Wales’ as it has gone along. i also disagree with people who say the sex scenes have nothing to do with the story-rex and doctor vera’s relationship was used to get gwen into the phi-corp building, and Jacks was, if nothing else, used to see how americans would cope with it, given as how that are very homophobic.

Yes, you’re right. I don’t like naked women on television, but, hey, when they appear I still look. 😛 Nudity can serve a plot point sometimes.

Agree with C@A, it is for teenagers and adults who “should” be able to deal with this content, however, obvisiusly some can’t. I think they might need to get out a bit more and look at the world around them.

If it wasn’t for Russell Doctor Who would still have a reputation for wonky sets and Daleks that can’t get up stairs. In fact if it wasn’t for him Doctor Who would have stayed dead and buried in 1996 after the TV movie. Also, take a look at the viewing figures for the 2005-2009 era, and average of 9 million with all the last two or three specials getting 10 million! That speaks volumes. Sorry mate, your in the minority!

That’s Jack mate! He ain’t gona change, he’s always been going for a bit of both, aliens included, obviously! Also I did think, it was relevant to the story line as it was showing that he is trying to make the most of life as he is no longer immortal. He wants to have some fun!

Look Mr. RTD, we ‘get it’. Jack is omni-sexual and likes men. You don’t have to push it into our faces – literally. Less is more you know.

They are only commenting because they have been allowed to watch it, this site doesn’t discriminate age never has never will.

I do however sympathise – Captain Jack is a Doctor Who Character, he starter out there – Captain Jack is in Torchwood – there going to want to watch him – difficult situation

It’s Not Homophobic If You Don’t Like A Naked Man On Television, It Would Be If You Said Something Like, ‘Gays Disgust Me, And They Should Never Kiss In Public’ The Thing Is That It Just Came To A Shock For Torchwood To Be That Graphic.

Beep, it’s what you get when you have a site allowing <13 to post, who's knowledge on sexuality is usually rather low (unless they aren't hetero themselves, but even then) and can't make a response very constructive to make me as a 14 year old homo a little angry at what they're saying.

Thank god “RTD” has left Doctor Who, if this is the Best he can come up with for Torchwood, i think “Doctor Who” would have been axed again

Well said Nigel M. It was a completely pointless scene. Infact this series is seriously lacking sci-fi…its more like a cop show. Im not impressed.

I’m not homophobic but I’m watching it for the sci-fi. As I said above, the scene in question was completely gratuitous and irrelevant to the storyline. Children of Earth had some graphic scenes involving children but they were relevant to the story.

I am a bit shocked at all this homophobia, its the twenty first century people, were people can be proud of who they are and not criticised for it…or so I thought

    See, with the homophobia…

  • Nigel M

I wouldn’t have minded too much if it was somehow relevant to the story but it seemed to have been thrown in to pad out the episode.

  • Dark Side of the Moon

I didnt have a problem that it was ‘too adult’, my prolem was thw whole sequence (nightclub and bedroom) was pointless and added nothing at all to the story. If you are going to go to the trouble of filming a sex scene then at least make it relevant to the plot. We all know Jack is having to deal with being mortal…I dont need to see his bum to understand that:) It was scene to “flesh” out an episode that had very little going for it. Lets hope Ep 4 gets things going.

    Miracle Day…BORING!

So far I think Miracle Day has been perfect. All these people that keep complaining about the ‘Jack’ scene in ep 3 should get a grip it clearly states in the programme guides and when you press info “contains some sexual content’ i mean if i saw that i would not let my child or ‘kid’ watch it. I think its been brilliant it just shows what american money can do.. and the aliens could just be round the corner.

I Think this is the best series ever. 10/10!
