July 15th, 2011 - 4:37pmhave watched it from the very first series and loved every one shame however it`s not lost originality and gone stateside now my torchwood anymore sorry

July 15th, 2011 - 4:39pmand i cant type either so moved was meant to have said has lost it`s originality

July 15th, 2011 - 8:01pmsorry, agree with redtop. Torchwood was original Brit sci-fi, with a good dose of quirky Welsh humour & familiar locations, not this Americanised season offered up on Thursday. Wish all involved the best but if it continues in similar style Torchwood ended for me with Children Of Earth.

August 20th, 2011 - 9:03amI agree with the negative sentiments expressed about Torchwood Miracle day. The US influence has completely spoiled the show. I like others watched the next episode in the vain hope that it will get better! What are the people watching who like it? Out of the last episode’s 50 minutes or so less than 5 minutes were British based! Sad!
The original was much better. The only good thing is the music in 5.1 Digital Sound. Says it all. neill.
McGann is The Doctor.
July 15th, 2011 - 4:12pmJack Harkness finally has a chance of his lifetime, to die. π― He should take it, even though his planet is in so much toruble, he should think of it as an oppurtunity to not exist forever, IMO.

July 15th, 2011 - 3:34pmThe Ist episode was good. I hope the film crew didn’t cram all the good bits into one episode.
As for DW. It is good, but I find it hard to follow the storylines. Back in the Tom Baker days, it was a lot easier to take in. Maybe the show could go back to the old four episodes per story.
McGann is The Doctor.
July 15th, 2011 - 4:08pmYeah, that’s a smart idea. They shd consider it. It would be more, um, resourceful for the studio and production making use of the sets.
Each story wd be like, over an hour long, but only 25 inutes per week. Intresting way to make it. π

July 15th, 2011 - 6:21pmno it shouldn’t
th lack of stories will just show a lack of imagination from the writers
it will get boring and also annoying to have to keep remembering something that happened 3 weeks ago-plus children won’t be able to follow it
it will be less stories just the same one forever
it won’t be able to keep up with the high pace of 21st century TV
i like the old episodes but the formats won’t work now
the TARDIS
July 16th, 2011 - 6:25ammaybe it would if they did it in the peter davison format, with two episodes airing per week, like saturday and sunday or friday and sunday.
Torchwood2011 The New World
July 15th, 2011 - 2:54pmIt was very awesome can’t even wait for the second part
Gareth Stafford
July 15th, 2011 - 1:10pmMuch much better than the lack lustre seies of DW – really looking forward to the rest of the series!

July 15th, 2011 - 3:22pmWhat’s so bad about Dr Who at the moment (apart from rainbow Daleks)?
McGann is The Doctor.
July 15th, 2011 - 4:09pmYeah, I liked this Series, and I’m an experienced Whovian, it was much greater than Sereis 5 IMO. Its moved on. π
Gareth Stafford
July 15th, 2011 - 8:57pmNothing really – just found it a little incomprehensible at times compared to previous series, and that took the shine off it for me…
Whereas CJH and friends came back with a bang and an intriguing story…
Perhaps it’s just me π
MarkWho
July 15th, 2011 - 11:03amI enjoyed it and only wish that Dr Who had the same amount of money that Torchwood had.
Scott Peters
July 15th, 2011 - 9:48amI would like to know if there will be any episodes of Torchwood in which the Doctor appears…………I think the crosslinking of stories and events is brilliant. Like now for instance….are there any references (in this series) to the earlier Dalek invasion of Earth by Gwen or any of the new team…….will they get to meet the Doctor??
booboo
July 15th, 2011 - 9:49amnot in this series
Jonathan
July 15th, 2011 - 7:27amIt was good to see the team back since soon this will be the only spin off running but it just failed last night as it was so unrealistic with the helicopter over Gwen’s house scene
Thetasigma
July 15th, 2011 - 9:50amI completely agree…it seemed full of “bluster for blusters” sake. It laked the cutting dialogue of the 1st 2 seasons and apears to have left behind its original premis for the sake of becoming just another planet saving organisation π
BooBoo1
July 15th, 2011 - 3:02pmWell, the writers like this new premise for the show and it is better, more realistic than catching an alien every WEEK, plus the helicopter scene happened, no green screen, so how can you say it is unrealistic ?
jay
July 15th, 2011 - 6:46amthe scary bit was the moving skeleton
but the episode was cool
the TARDIS
July 16th, 2011 - 6:28ami agree-it really wasn’t very scary. torchwood appears to leave out scariness for gore. very American. i hope it gets better as time goes on.
Thetasigma
July 15th, 2011 - 6:43amAfter all the hype I hyst failed to get excited about this…I will carry on watching tho if next week is as “good” as last nights, I’m not sure for how much longer…
Fox Mulder
July 15th, 2011 - 2:27amWell I just watched it on BBC 1 and it was awesome, can’t wait for next week.
Fox Mulder
July 15th, 2011 - 2:21amI just watched it. I enjoyed it. Jack mortal it sucks lol. Looks to get darker , a lot like children of earth. Can’t wait for next week.

TARDIS
July 14th, 2011 - 10:13pmi like is how Owen is mentioned
Nigel M
July 14th, 2011 - 10:01pmInteresting but not sure of the continuity in places. A helicopter sent to kill them and the ensuing chase, gun battle and rocket launcher, all the time seeming to forget that no-one could die. What happpened to the crew of the helicopter if they couldn’t die ?

July 14th, 2011 - 9:12pmGood set up episode, be interesting to see how this goes

July 11th, 2011 - 8:31amThere isn’t an option to click; ‘I haven’t watched it yet, i’m patiently sat here waiting for the BBC broadcast’ π
Fox Mulder
July 11th, 2011 - 5:18amLet me get this straight after years of hype and speculation everyone hates it ????
booboo
July 11th, 2011 - 6:42ammost reaction is quite positive so far
Thetasigma
July 15th, 2011 - 9:54amHate is not the word I would have used but it simply doesnt live up to the hype. When the closing credits rolled I was left feeling flat and unexcited by it and thinking “Oh was that it ?”
It was a good show for what it was but its left its roots so far behind that it appears like just another usa planet saving series…
Fox Mulder
July 11th, 2011 - 5:15amFrom what im reading it sounds like my kind of thing, stereotypical characters and AMERICANIZED I’LL LOVE IT BUT, I’ll wait to watch it on BBC in Ireland in good quality rather than watch it ileagle online in bad quality
72lf
July 11th, 2011 - 11:24amConsidering its recorded in full HD in the States and uploaded in 720 i, its quality in the Torrents is HD perfect.
Its not as if someone sat with a Camcorder in their living room while its on. Plus Starz is a Pay channel in the States….
Dark Side of the Moon
July 11th, 2011 - 11:30amAh but there is stereotypying to a degree that is beyond redemption π
If I was American or Welsh I would feel a little offended (Yes, I know RTD is Welsh…but he clearly needs to return to Wales for a bit). The American’s came across either as brash arrogant action heros (the men)or as ditzy blondes waiting top fall in love (the women)…and the Welsh came over as stupid and detached….PLEASE note…this is not my opinion of Americans or the Welsh…thats how I felt the characters came across to me…others may not find that.
But if you like explosives and big money stunts and can allow yourself to forget about the script and the acting (like most of the shows you find on Scy-Fy or FX)…then this is the show for you π
Hopefully, it will get better as the series goes on.
I am quite a difficult person to please when it comes to TV shows….so don’t read too much into my opinion π
Fox Mulder
July 11th, 2011 - 10:45pmI care about the script( I thought the children of earth was the best bit of SC FI writing since Back to the future 1) , I like a good alien conspiracy and I also love action aswell , but at least if them script is and the action can keep me entertained . Maybe I’m one of those that appreciates everything in it’s own right.
Dark Side of the Moon
July 12th, 2011 - 12:16pmI agree…COE was brilliant. Everything worked. I may be being a bit hasty in my feedback of the 4th Series…I will continue to watch the rest and hope that it makes me change my mind.
Fox Mulder
July 15th, 2011 - 2:23amIt not American enough LOL. There American accents seem less exaggerated than the usual American tv shows.but it’s still Awesome 8/10
Thetasigma
July 15th, 2011 - 9:56am“…if you like explosives and big money stunts and can allow yourself to forget about the script and the actingβ¦then this is the show for you…”
I have to say this just about sums up where I was at with Ep 1 !
The Dark Side of the Moon
July 10th, 2011 - 9:51pmJust seen it. It’s clear the RTD is making the most of the American funding…some pretty nifty scenes…however the script was awful. Stereotype characters and babbling dialogue.
Please please BBC…dont sell out to a US production company when it comes to DW.
Jesus Navas
July 15th, 2011 - 12:56pmI thought it was already a canadian production company?
king gerbil
July 15th, 2011 - 6:03pmThey co-produced with BBC America for the series opener
The Dark Side of the Moon
July 10th, 2011 - 7:15pmBoo Boo, Do you know if they are making a Torchwood Declassified sereso to go with Series 4…whether that be one for every episode (like they did for Series 1 and 2) or a one-off show (like they did for series 3).
booboo
July 10th, 2011 - 7:21pmno but there is red button stuff
