Have you no idea of how a Tardis works? It’s a device that can travel in time & space, therefore Strax lives in Edwardian London for a reason…..

He might just be sick of losing everyone he knows. If he is I feel sorry for him.

I thought it was interesting/funny and Matt Smith was good (not to mention he LOOKED good, the best he has looked in a while) but I cannot believe the Doctor would give up and “retire”, even after losing Amy and Rory.

I know it was a sad episode, but really, the Doctor has had far worse than that. The Timewar anyone ? The Trial of a Timelord ? The Trial of a Timelord when he thought Peri was dead ?

    He never gives up. ❗

Matt Smithy – Thanks mate πŸ˜‰

The Tardis – True, unless it’s another Sontaran called Strax or a clone of the original Strax, despite the fact Sontarans are a clone race.

But what is Strax doing in the Victorian era when he was from the future and died in A Good Man Goes To War?

actually, in victorian london while digging the metropolitan underground the workers stumbles across a silirian city. They kept on drilling and dug through the city, killing all the silirians exept vastra. See began to seek revenge killing “apes” but the doctor stopped dher and made her good. Thats why she lives there. Also strax was a nurse (the greatest punishment in the hole sontaran empire) so he probably desided to stay with vastra, as he was already so ashamed, and left the empire. Hope this helped! πŸ™‚

Vastra surely must screw up Doctor Who’s continuity when it comes to the Silurians, cos she’s from the Victorian era, and her kind and type of Silurian don’t end up being woken up until 2020 as seen back in series 5’s ‘The Hungry Earth / Cold Blood’, so why is she not with the rest of them in hibernation ?. There shouldn’t be any Silurians on the surface of earth during the Victorian era, not until the 1970’s when the original version of the Silurians are woken up and encountered by the 3rd Doctor.

Same with Strax as well, he should surely be with his own kind, getting ready for another fight with some enemy like the Rutans.

The first time Vastra and strax met was on demons run and they came from completely different places so this means strax must have survived and Vastra and Jenny took him back to Victorian times. We may see what happened after the doctor, Amy and river and Rory left demons run
