Well BBC you have got what you wanted with this selection of 13th Doctor I hope all the cmonth from my fellow fans are just anger and you don’t loose the millions of loyal fans through a cheap trick the poor actress will be the one who suffers as she will become a pub quiz question in years to come as the last person to play DR WHO
    Gutted!!!

I give the show a year. I can’t see it lasting more than that now. I’ve seen Jodie in a number of things and I’m afriad I don’t think she’s up to it.

At the end of the day, whether the Doctor is played by a man or a woman doesn’t matter. The writers know exactly what they are doing, and as such, I am really looking forward to seeing Jodie in action.

    Good Luck, Jodie!

Don’t let the mad delusions of so-called “hardcore” fans put you off from continuing the legacy that is Doctor Who.

Say what you will but the show needs those viewing figures like it or not, the shows not exactly in a stable place right now

I am personally not happy at the choice, but thats just my opinion. It is really unfair so say that what I am saying, just because I disagree with you, is pathetic. I haven’t said that your opinion is pathetic, so why would you be so small-minded and say that about my opinion and about others who feel the same as me?

Agreed, or technically over 1,100 years of being Male

i wonder who her companion is going to be??
could be Kris Marshall or he could agree to be doctor 14 when the time comes although i would like to see her be the doctor for at least 2 series even though we saw a 30 second clip.

I think Chris has let himself been taken by peer pressure to choose a female doctor. You can’t have a character who has been a male for more then 50 years of television suddenly become a women. Any way good luck to Chris and Jodie.

I know her work, she’s a good actor, give a chance people, it’s pathetic the way some people are reacting

So as a long term fan and a mature adult you should know that unlike real life characters, the doctor is a fictional alien. His species can change from gender to gender and from skin colour to skin colour. Therefore there is ZERO argument that stands up for the doctor remaining as a white male – maybe its a generational thing?

  • Velvet Doctor

    July 16th, 2017 - 4:42pm

Wow! Didn’t know which way it was going to go this time, but I’m very glad the Doctor will regenerate into a woman because I think that’s the next step for the character 🙂 I haven’t previously seen her in anything but I’m excited to see where the series is going!

Never heard of her, good luck but I must admit I’m a bit disappointed. Typical p.c BBC and Chris Chibnall has just built himself a mountain to climb.
