On the bright side, the Doctor’s new costume means that males are still able to cosplay as her, just like women have cosplayed all of her previous male selves.

The Doctor is eccentric (usually) in what he/she wears, just look at the awful costume that Colin Baker used to wear, i still think that there was some drug use going on when they came up with that idea. I actually like the long coat and the boots, thats it. Im not really that keen on the TARDIS’s new design, but thats mainly due to being used to Matt and Peter’s version.

So now we have seen the Doctor’s outfit and exterior of the police box, i want to see what we will be looking at inside the ship on a Saturday night (thats is as long as Chibnall doesnt ask the BBC to change the air date or something, hes already changed so much…. and yes, thats me having a dig at Chibnall)

Classic Tardis design on the outside. So I wonder if it will have the classic roundel design on the inside?

I’m really enjoying reading all these comments aha – real mixed bag division, like 13th Doctor announcement I suppose.
Personally I like both the outfit and the Tardis and maybe, for those unsure about the costume, it may really suit her Doctors personality … I am very excited for series 11 – but Christmas first

The door sign has changed its wording slightly to.
The current one reads “officers and cars respond to all calls”
This one says “officers and cars respond to urgent calls”
Another call back to the classic TARDIS

I like the new yet classic Tardis exterior, I really hope they’ve gone for a classic style console room with roundels and another set of doors inside and while they’re at it, get rid of that awful merry-go-round thing above the console.

Yeah, I 100 per cent agree

The TARDIS looks like the TARDIS from the 1900s. The writing signs is black, the POLICE BOX sign is small and (sadly) the ambulance sign has gone but I like the shade of blue. I don’t piticulaly like the new outfit but I guess it is alright. It goes with the classic TARDIS because all of the colours.

I’ve never thought they should start nude. The powerful Regenerations are only a NuWho thing, with the Classic ones being quick fades. Quick fades with a seering white or gold light is how it should be, not the liquid, energy shooting NuWho ones.

I couldn,t imagine the likes of patrick troughton and jon pertwee in the nuddy. Though we did have the half naked shower scene in spearhead of course.(With tatt)

Like the classic series look Tardis too

That is the new TARDIS, yeah.

I’ve always thought that the sheer amount of energy given off during a regeneration would burn off any clothing and that the new doctors body should start off nude! (But cleverly concealed of course.)

I love the new look! I am very excited to see the variations. I love the classic style TARDIS with a new style of doctor. Also the new marketing team really have a thing with the outdoors don’t they?

    Things i’m liking:-
    1. The Coat, the doctor always has to have along coat!
    2. The Boots (very 11th doctor)
    3. The braces

    Things i’m not liking
    1. The jack up trousers
    2. The tops to plain for me.
    3. The socks look silly
    4. The main thing i hate is they have left her piercings in her ear!! The doctor just wouldn’t have them!

As for the TARDIS it’s very classic who. In fact It has the larger dimensions and still a squared look to it like 9,10,11 and 12’s. But yet slicker like the classic models.
I like the change to a black sign rather than white, but a shame to see the ambulance sign go. Strange the hinges have swapped so it opens differently.
The white window frames remain which i prefer.
From what i can see of the lamp, it looks a little strange.
The colour is gorgeous much duller and battered looking which is what i prefer.
Now on a whim i’m guessing from the window glow the new interior is orangey. But that could just be the picture.

I like the outfit, although no doubt she’ll have a number of variations. This one has lots of nods to the costumes of previous Doctors, adds a bit of colour and is the right level of eccentric for me. Save for the cut off trousers, I could easily see it being worn by a male Doctor, which I guess is the point: the character is the same, so the style is broadly consistent.

TARDIS looks grand, but need a better image.

Costume isn’t very Smart but is eccentric has a little madness. Prefer it to 9 and 10s boring costumes
    Love the Classic Style Tardis

hope she takes the earrings out for the regeneration and adds them when she changes her wardrobe. Having said that it didn,t stop the third doctor acquiring a tattoo and the fifth doctor gaining shoes where there once were boots. Strange thing regeneration.

The doctor gets ear piercing. That’s new.

Well she’s been dressing as a man for over a thousand years so it’s no surprise the Tardis wardrobe didn’t have any trousers that fit her.

Not a fan of the outfit sorry.

The whole shot reminds me of the Doctor/Rose new earth promo stuff running up to series 2

Oh dear I get the sense of another Colin Baker coat scenario. To be fair that costume has grown on me I wonder if this one will? But for now I am on the fence.

    Love the classic Tardis though

Eeeeeee I don’t like the TARDIS, as for the outfit maybe fasten the coat up and it would probably look nice

    November 9th, 2017 - 7:17pm

I really like the new TARDIS exterior! I’d say it’s a definite improvement upon the last one.

As for the costume…eh, I’m not sure yet. It’s certainly not a favourite but it’s also not Colin Baker’s disastrous outfit. I like the long coat. Just like in the announcement video, long coats seem to suit Jodie really well. I’m not yet sold on the rest of the outfit though.

I doubt it. Colin baker still wins out on bad taste outfits. That was the ultimate trifle.

That was a joke. I actually think the Tardis looks cool. Don’t like the costume though.
