The Bells of Saint John: A Prequel

From The Official Site

Doctor Who returns to BBC One on Easter Saturday at 6.15pm with The Bells of Saint John, but you can watch a prequel to the new episode this Saturday.

The brand new prequel is written by Steven Moffat and features the Doctor, played, of course, by Matt Smith. We join the Time Lord on Earth where he’s taking a break from his quest to find Clara.

This looks great. Though I wasn’t surprised that the girl on the swing was Clara. But, this episode looks great just from this little clip. I’m really exited. Does the episode come out the 23ed? I’m American, it may be a different day.

Doctor Whom – I had a feeling I was a bit wrong. Should have checked before I wrote that comment.

[NOTE TO SELF – Check before writing a comment, just to be on the safe side before someone ends up correcting you . . . . grrrr . . .. D’OH !!]

    THAT GIRL IS CLARA ????.

He must have gone back to the 1990’s, cos Jenna is currently 26, so if Clara is 26, then she’d have therefore grown up in the 90’s.

Guess seeing a child version of Clara is a deliberate nod to Amy when we first met her as a child too . . . . . but a nice little nod thou πŸ™‚

Yeh he was talking about Clara because he says he was trying to find her am that he has met her twice randomly

I’m pretty sure she is only a child for this prequel, not the episode πŸ™‚

  • McGann is the Doctor.

    March 23rd, 2013 - 2:29pm

Liked him in the End of Time part 2, sometimes liked him in Eleventh Hour, hated him from then until Flesh and stone, hated him from then until Doctor Who Live and by the time he came tumbling down that chimney in a Christmas Charol I loved him and he was one of my favourite Doctors from there on.

Hope he stays atleast until 2015, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE…..

Still disgustingly selfish, hateful and inconsiderate of Grade. He hated the show and damaged it’s reputation when it was still loved by a great number of people and still in good health, then the public came to hate it and it lost a great deal of viewers and respect πŸ™

    Awesome !

    March 23rd, 2013 - 2:25pm

    Guess not.

That new outfit is great, but a little too heavy and fancy, drawing too much attention to the Doctor.

The tweed is more inconspicuous and casual, I guess.

This has just got a lot more confusing. It would be so cool if Clara and her ancestors were also searching the universe for the Doctor and it all stemed from young Clara meeting the Doctor in the playground.

  • MORLU

It was obvious and would have been fine. If we haven’t already met Amy at that age. I hope there not going to retred old ground too much.

I think this looks great! Really weird how he ends up talking to young Clara. However seems a bit like what happend with young Amy (Amelia) πŸ™‚

    What’s the doctor who special

  • DoctorWhom

    March 23rd, 2013 - 9:34am

Doctor Who One, Grade didn’t cancel Who in 89. He was with Channel Four by that time. Jonathan Powell the man who took over from Grade actually cancelled it. Grade only suspended it back in 86.
