The Bells of Saint John: A Prequel

From The Official Site

Doctor Who returns to BBC One on Easter Saturday at 6.15pm with The Bells of Saint John, but you can watch a prequel to the new episode this Saturday.

The brand new prequel is written by Steven Moffat and features the Doctor, played, of course, by Matt Smith. We join the Time Lord on Earth where he’s taking a break from his quest to find Clara.

The first part if series 7 was a major disappointment, Steven Moffat is just getting carried away at times

The fanfare has been toned down and the baseline-the “dum-de-dums” has been made louder and more clear(like the CLASSICS)and there’s an extra wind sound fx.

Actually, after being slapped by Rose’s mum Jackie, he had later been slapped by Martha’s mum after she heard lies told to her at the end of ‘The Lazarus Experiment’ by agents working for the Master, he said –

    “Always the mothers, every time”.

if i were the doctor in that situation i would say doctor:”whats your name little girl”
    clara:”my names clara”
doctor:”get in the blue box now”
clara:”what big blue box that one that says police public call box free for the use of the public etc”
doctor:”yes that one its called the tardis”
clara:”mummy this man trying to kidnap me”
clara’s mum:”get away from my baby” *SLAP*
doctor:”all these years of travelling through time and space and once again ive been slapped by someones mother” πŸ™‚

if doctor who had good story lines and wasnt to confusing then maybe it would have won

Hopefully not. I like the new titles as they are, and would hate to see them ruined by changing colour and seeing a different style for the Doctor Who logo like it was for ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ to ‘The Angels Take Manhatten’, cos that really annoyed so many fan’s, and, assuming if that was Steven Moffat’s idea, a very annoying one.

Will the series 7 part 2 titles be themed like series 7 part 1?

yes that is a good idea! πŸ™‚

Well when you think about it, when she says –

“Run you cleaver boy, and remember”.

She maybe suggesting that he should still be on the run from the Silence, but create something like that eye patch device so that he can remember them.

Just got to wait and see, cos right now, we’re both just guessing.

  • Still Not Ginger!!

    March 25th, 2013 - 8:20am

yes,im probobly wrong, but she could be working for them and the silence sends out different versions of her to try and trap or kill the doctor so he never reaches trenzalore.

  • DOCTOR WHO ONE

    March 25th, 2013 - 8:02am

Don’t forget, that Victorian version of Clara dropped the Tardis key when she was being dragged out by that Ice Governess.

What I don’t get is, what makes you think she could be working for the Silence, cos saying the Doctor gave her the Tardis key shortly after she came inside the Tardis in this case means nothing, the Doctor just gave in cos he wanted someone new once more cos he loves having people to share the fun of his adventures with, there’s no hypnosis involved.

  • Still Not Ginger!!

    March 24th, 2013 - 9:52pm

booboo, this is probobley not true, but could Clara be hypnotising the doctor in some way? she could be working for the silence, beacuse he gave the TARDIS key to her as soon as she walked in to the TARDIS.So could she be hypnotising him?

Well Doctor Who Magazine tend to refer to a classic series of Doctor Who as, for example –

    Doctor Who – Season 10, 1973.

While they just refer to new series as –

    Doctor Who – Series 7, 2012-2013.

Course, if I’m talking about a classic series story to any fan, or making a reference to one, I’d just say something like ‘1975’s Geneis of the Daleks’ instead of mentioning what season a particular classic story comes from.

I guess to a lot of us fan’s, we don’t generally use the words season or series, we just really refer to a story by it’s title.

  • Dalek The Supreme

    March 24th, 2013 - 6:17pm

Possibly, though I doubt they would bring it back in a prequel just to have it mysteriously gone again when the episode arrives.

    March 24th, 2013 - 5:41pm

lol, maybe if the BBC cleared this up then we would all know how to refer to it πŸ™‚
