I could. Because I worked it out after Day of the Moon. The little girl regenerates, she’s in a space-suit, it all makes sense that she was in the space-suit and killed the Doctor. We see an image of her as a baby in Amy’s room. We know it’s her because that is her room tracked down. It all makes sense that she is Amy’s daughter. Although back then I didn’t take myself seriously. 😐

Although it sounds ridiculous, Moffat wants to “give them a rest” or whatever that means.

mabey “the best man i’ve ever known” was the doctor cause technically, if river is the kid in the space suit, she did kill him.

there is still a possibility of river being amy’s kid/doctor’s wife cause when the doc found out, he said “that means that…YOU AND ME,we…”and so on.

Wait the silence hasn’t already fallen cause one of the silence say to amy “you are amelia pond. You will cause the silence.” we still don’t know what that means yet.

  • Silence Will Fall

completely agree its nice to see this level of writting aimed at the family for a change i love programs like lost and fringe that require you to use the grey stuff a little more , to see a programm i cherish rise to that level it well fantastic, as for being to complicated and not for children i have an 8yo boy and 10yo girl who both loved it and managed to follow it with no problems and so have most of there friends even now something will spark in my daughter and she will run up to me saying “that because of this dose that mean when she said this in this episode it means that OOooo”
so apart from horrible histories i don’t know another program that set there mind alight like this so please please please don’t dumb it down bbc finally let my licence fee be spent on quality rather than eastenders

i thought patrick troughton was a better doctor than david tennant i think paul mcgann should have had a longer reign comparing doctors is like comparing apples

my daughter of 10 picked up on it as well but was more impressed about who river turned out to be as she had managed to follow the show better than most of the adults on here it seems.
regarding the google quip you have a point but as a life long DW fan i prefer to see the doctor solve a mystery than watch a show where he sits at a computer for half of it

To all you folks complaining about convoluted plot lines in ‘A Good Man Goes to War”=it was so great/rewarding exactly because it makes you think and recall previous episodes/adventures. Making the viewer recall related bits of information/plot clues in a very ‘active’/engaged way. For anyone who claims to be a committed ‘Who’ fan and then says that this show has become too involved then I have a humble word of advice=go off and watch something else like Little Brittain or Birttany Spears where you only have to have 5 seconds worth of memory to make sense of what’s going on. If television shows with such a long/rich history as Doctor Who have to pander to the lowest common denominator all the time then honestly ‘what’s the point?’

Yeah, to get her back/keep her safe we imagine. How and when we don’t know, as we have only pieces of the puzzle (if River is the little girl in the Spacesuit, the Doctor might pick her up when she regenerates in the alleyway).

Presumably, we will find out in the latter half of the series exactly what happened next.

This was a somewhat confusing episode, when watched the first time. I get the DNA part, with River. What I don’t get is why at the end, the Doctor has to go and find the baby(Melody/River)when River(since she is the baby/Melody/River) is standing right there? Someone explain this? Is it, to make sure she gets to this time period or what?

A little bit of trivia re: Lesbian Silurians

There are 3 known species of lizards that only have females!! (Parthenogenesis is their reproductive method)

    June 12th, 2011 - 11:38am

The Cybies were awesome through i thought the Doctor was not really himself, too much genocide, its really making him the bad guy! We really needed a Silurian lesbian! And the returning of the Dalek Spitfires! But there was also too much background going on! Series 5 was by far the best of the new series!
