YEAH ! My guess was right about River Song, as I mentioned the other month being amy’s daughter. My kids are still puzzled about it all. A cracking story.

    Roll on Torchwood in July.

Over complicated and a story that bounced one way and the other without ever settling into a single narrative. Sorry to say, as a lifelong Who fan, this was not the most enjoyable episode and way too similar to last season’s finale. Bringing in old monsters to do battle is becoming all too banal and predictable. How younger fans are meant to follow this kind of storyline I have no idea – and that could be Doctor Who’s eventual downfall. Production staff be warned … don’t alienate your viewing base.

Right, didn’t notice that it was on low volume with a 3 year old and a 1 year old in the room.

I think the inference is she kills the Doctor. She was in prison for killing a good man. The Doctor was the good man in the title.

In the episode when they were looking at scans of the baby the Silurian said she was part human part time lord.

One thing i don’t get, River Song has been hiding a secret from series four all the way to series six, and in all episodes she fears the day the doctor finds out who she is, but what is there to fear, the doctor was so happy when he found out who she was, so confused, please someone explain

Is River Song (Melody Pond) just a bit paranoid?

So how come River is Amy and Rory’s baby? She didn’t recognise Rory. I mean who could forget their dad when they saw him recently? And ‘Melody Williams’ translate to ‘River Song’. ‘Melody Pond’ would work out but why use your maiden name for your baby? Lastly, the little girl is ment to be Melody so how can she regenerate? Amy and Rory aren’t time lords. This just chanes the way I see River-well I call her Melody now.

I agree in the fact that series 5 was awful, but i do think tonights episode was brill.
Totally agree with what you said about the eye patch lady, she was really fascinating throughout the series now, it seems she has no part, like the writers forgot who the character was so changed it. Maybe in LETS KILL HITLER (wtf)
we may find out who she is, but i think she’ll be a forgotten about character.

I agree, I would love a return to good stand alone episodes and a return to unconnected story strands. And im sick of people and fans slagging off RTD and his stories. Really annoys me!

Following an awful series 5, series 6 has been a huge improvement. Sadly, episode 7 was a let down and not worth the hype. The strong plot of a kidnapped companion, her baby and Kovarian (possibly the most wasted character in the series 48 year history) was just not delivered. Events should have concentrated on the Monks and the Clerics taking orders from Kovarian … why do they insist on rolling out old monsters too?? Silurians?? In space?? A Sontaran nurse??? nonsense. Ep 7 was a let down, lets hope part 2 gets back ontrack.

Great episode – best series so far….by miles. Finally we have a head writer that has brough WHO into the 21st century without losing the feel of what we have all loved about the show since 63.

Every other actor has ‘played’ the Doctor and some have played him well….but Matt Smith IS the Doctor…he will be hard to replace…lets hope he has a long run 🙂

I loved this episode, but it has to be said it hasn’t been a strong series as previous ones.
I love Matt Smith and i don’t think it’s fare to mark Smith as the worst doctor, after all he is just following a script.

I liked the story in a way because of the twist with River at the end but the fact of the Doctor’s enemies siding with him was bad

Amazing doesn’t even come close to describing it! I loved every minute of it. I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t see more of the new Cybermen but hopefully they will be back in the autumn. I can not believe who River Song (Melody Pond) was! I can not wait for Let’s Kill Hitler 🙂

Well Chris thats your view but I dont think many share it. How sad it would be if the only factors in a TV show were keep it light, keep it simple
