What did you Think of Asylum of The Daleks?

What did you Think of Asylum of The Daleks

The first episode of series 7a has finally aired so what did you think?, was it the best episode ever or just average. Vote below.

Matt Smith returns as the oldest time-traveller in the universe. The Time Lord, Amy and Rory are kidnapped by their oldest foe the Daleks and forced on a seemingly impossible mission – to enter the Asylum, a planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of the deadly aliens’ kind.

From the official site…

Steven Moffat, Head Writer and Executive Producer, thanked fans and the press for keeping the secret:

β€œI hope you all got a nice surprise when Jenna popped up in Doctor Who several months early. If so, that surprise came to you courtesy of the frankly magnificent ladies and gentlemen of the press, and of the many Doctor Who forums and blogs too. This show has been seen at four separate screenings, across four different countries and yet not one person gave one spoiler. From all of us on Doctor Who, a heartfelt thank you for helping us tell our story.”

Forget it I wrote it in the wrong section. Jenna’s acting was really good and I am looking forward to seeing her as the new companion. It was a shame that there were barely any classic daleks that were seen but it was a good episode and the ‘eggs’ think was really clever

Yep it is all moffats plan,to make him less famous to make the silence think he died and because he was a mighty warrior ,then they ask questions,a question is coming, trenzalore is waiting maybe the valeyard will be born.this is leading to the final and the 50th

or it could be likr eith river song back in the libruary where the doctor saw her die before she met her propely, and when she says remember me in the present episode, its like she is saying goodbye to the doctor before they have even met, WOW

yeah ok, but there needs to be a story as to why the bronze ones suddenly still exist. Ok there would be a few left in the asylum, but they wouldn’t rescue any of the daleks from the asylum. All the bronze/gold/russel t davis daleks are meant to be dead, now there are tons of them on a ship along with the new colourd ones, it doesn’t make sense.

does that mean whoever she is she is destined to become a dalek, or is she playing a different person.

That was a fantastic episode by my standard and was amazing written, and im sure it has scared some younger children which is good πŸ™‚
Now the lack of classic Daleks was a bit of let down but still those mad daleks and the props were amazing the end was a massive bombshell 1 being oswins story which im sure will evole and will all amke total sense soon and 2nd being the daleks forgetting the Doctor now some people may frown upon this and that is understandable from some points of view but now they can build on to better stories for the Daleks and can bring them in more of a sinister way as performed tonight im also sure there is a Dalek that still remembers him so be prepared for the best πŸ™‚

This is all moffats plan to make the doctor not a legend, this will lead to the universe believe he is dead, until the silence discover

  • Kevin

    September 1st, 2012 - 8:56pm

no but in the ship, the prime minister, the most of them were russel t’s. Now i know we as fans prefer the bronze russel t ones to the new multi coloured ones. but there should be some sort of story behind it. David tennant used to always ask the questions to get everyone thinking and now there just seem to be too many loose ends which need clearing up.

Guys Oswin had feelings and she was a genius therefore I think the doctor will some how be able to bring her back (or she may bring herself back cos she is clever) and then she meets the doctor but does not remeber being a dalek?

on a plus point Jenna looked lovely in this episode.

Actually thats a good point because she could play oswin and a person called Clara so the papers might have had mixed messages and think her name is Clara oswin
