November 1st, 2014 - 10:11pmSo I think the mistress regenerated into a woman to escape rassilon and the timelords and maybe team up with the doctor but also destroy earth
when i say run
November 1st, 2014 - 10:09pmWhat have they done. Roger Delgado was brilliant, Peter Pratt and Geoffrey Beevers very good, Anthony Ainley excellent, Eric Roberts great. Since the new series started they have made the master complete rubbish, from him hearing druming to eating people, and now this, she has no villainous quality about her. Hopefully she’s regenerate in to someone, male or female, who can be a bad ass.
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 10:01pmpeter capaldi and Jenna Coleman were amazing in this
and loved the doctors expression when he realised she was the master
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:59pmmy only dislike
was I felt it was a bit obvious
but I still loved it
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:55pmim surprised this was kept quiet
as it was filmed in the middle of London with people everywhere
Last Goth Standing
November 1st, 2014 - 9:49pmOk, it makes sense; Missy > Mistress > Master and just as much sense to have Michelle Gomez okay the part. An excellent build up, with upgraded Cybermen, so don’t screw it up and turn it into an episode of Hollyoaks. Writers are only as good as the Las thing they wrote and “Blink” was a long time ago now. Let there be madness, let there be chaos, let there be The Doctor and his enemies. Let it be fabulous!!!
Last Goth Standing
November 1st, 2014 - 9:50pm….Michelle Gomez play the part… Pointless bastard spellcheck!!!
Dalek The Supreme
November 2nd, 2014 - 5:37pmLast thing Moffat wrote? Not sure, but I loved almost all of his episodes from The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances to A Good Man Goes To War.
paddy
November 3rd, 2014 - 2:14pmIn truth Moffat has written the only episodes of the modern era that deserve the overused accolade ‘classic’ – up there with Genesis of the Daleks, Tomb Of the Cybermen etc.
Much better than the Mills & Boon style preferred by RTD.

November 1st, 2014 - 9:48pmWheres my comments gone booboo…………
booboo
November 1st, 2014 - 9:52pmon page 2?
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:44pmbooboo what did you think of the master revel
happy or unhappy
booboo
November 1st, 2014 - 9:54pmbrilliant – now if only they had been able to keep the cybermen secret
i hope the final can live up to this episode i think there will be one two twists yet
yognot
November 6th, 2014 - 2:43pmI don’t think it matters about the Cybermen not being kept secret. The Master’s return is a huge surprise that completely overshadows the Cybermen.
Jake
November 1st, 2014 - 9:40pmI don’t think Missy should be the Master it just doesn’t sound right. He’s not the Master anymore…She’s Missy. I mean Missy is a great character but I don’t think her being the Master is right…John Simm was fantastic…they should have kept him. Overall though good episode 🙂
Tim M
November 1st, 2014 - 9:46pmI’ll stick with the Roger Delgado version of the Master. He was always (and always will be) the definitive and best in my opinion. Each time the Master (or Missy) comes back recast, we get lesser returns.
WFK DVD Collector 14
November 1st, 2014 - 9:55pmI don’t really mind that Missy has turned out to be The Master, but I agree Rodger Delgado will always be the best Master
The Moffat Paradox
November 2nd, 2014 - 3:04pmRoger Delgado was to the Master what Sean Connery was to 007.The first and best!
Dalek The Supreme
November 2nd, 2014 - 5:38pmI haven’t seen enough of Roger Delgado, but personally, my favorite Master is a tie between Peter Pratt and Anthony Ainley.
The Moffat Paradox
November 3rd, 2014 - 11:47amDalek The Supreme. If you have never seen Roger Delgado as the Master in classic Who then you and anyone else that applies to are missing out.Though it puzzles me a bit when theres been enough opportunity to see online all the Pertwee stories he was in from video streaming/file sharing sites without recourse to TV scheduling/DVD.(Before the BBC takes them down anyway.)
He set the standard for who and what that character is. Watch a master playing the Master.
The Moffat Paradox
November 3rd, 2014 - 12:41pmTake every opportunity to see what you haven’t yet seen of Roger Delgado.

November 1st, 2014 - 9:40pmLoved this episode, glad to see the master is back, a question, does anyone know what the symbol on the walls mean, the larger and small connected circles? Please let me know, nothing seems to show up for no reason.
Jake
November 1st, 2014 - 9:41pmThe cybermen eyes are that shape so I presume it’s that
The Temporal Jelly Baby
November 1st, 2014 - 9:43pmIt’s also the shape of the Cybus Industries logo.
Jammy2305
November 1st, 2014 - 11:33pmIt’s a Cyberman’s eye
Cyber10Dalek
November 1st, 2014 - 9:40pmOh.My.God. THE MASTER IS BACK! AS A WOMAN…lol. This was in my opinion a great episode and a great set-up for what will happen in the finale next week! I loved how Seb’s reappearance was handled, Danny’s situation in the Promised Land with him deleting himself to prevent Clara from dying to save him was brilliant, and I nearly died from shock and surprise when Missy was revealed as the Master! While,I didn’t expect that,I knew as soon as Dr Chang explained about the skeletons in exo-skeletons thing that the skeletons were really Cybermen but it still got me rushing with excitement! I am so hyped for next week’s final episode and although it’s a shame it will be the end, this series will definitely be one to remember for me so let’s hope it goes out with a bang!
JJ
November 1st, 2014 - 10:12pmYep, one series to remember definitely, for being so bad and in actual FACT, the WORST EVER!!!! LOL!!!!
Dalek The Supreme
November 2nd, 2014 - 5:39pmI’m still debating whether this series is worse than Series 2. I’m not a huge fan of either. My favorite season of the New Series is still Series 5 by a long shot.
paddy
November 3rd, 2014 - 2:19pmApart from The satan Pit season 2 had nothing to commend it and with Gods & Monsters had the most cringe-inducingly awful story in the shows history.
However seasons -wise McCoy’s first is still the worst.
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:39pmdid anyone else find it disturbing when it was revealed you feel everything that happens to your body after death
booboo
November 1st, 2014 - 9:42pmthink that part of the overall ploy rather than any reality
lepter
November 2nd, 2014 - 11:52amits a lie. People are given the choice to either feel the pain or delete it and become a cyberman. Its a ploy to trick people into chosing no emotion.
Tim M
November 1st, 2014 - 9:36pmI enjoyed the first 15 minutes, but as it went on I’m sorry to say I didn’t find much to enjoy at all. I felt the overall premise was in quite poor taste, especially to anyone that has lost loved ones recently. The subject matter was very controversial. No doubt part 2 will rectify, clarify and answer what’s still unanswered. Plus why oh why did Moffat feel the need to make the Master female. We already have a well established female time lord in the form of the Rani…why not bring her back regenerated instead! Overall I found this episode (which started very well) to be my least favourite of the entire 8th series. I don’t hold out much hope of part 2 being much better.
morlu
November 1st, 2014 - 9:36pmThought it would have been a better reveal if we never saw the cybermen in the trailer last week. Love that the logo for 3W wa the cybers eyes. Brilliant. Loved Michelle Gomez, kinda wished she was the Rani rather than the Master but maybe that will grow on me.
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:32pmI don’t know about you guys but I felt Clara was being a bit of a…. cow
Jake
November 1st, 2014 - 9:38pmExactly what I thought…but I screamed it at the TV too

November 1st, 2014 - 9:51pmWell she had lost the love of her life, love can cause us to do the oddest and most drastic things.
Dalek The Supreme
November 2nd, 2014 - 5:40pmI do think the Doctor forgave her waaaay too easily, though.
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:31pmI hope they don’t get rid of the master again at the end of next weeks episode I hope the master sticks around for a while now.
CJ
November 2nd, 2014 - 12:09amYeah like in the classic series when he just kept popping up

the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:28pmI am so happy this story is a two parter
it would be very upsetting if a story like this was rushed
ColinB
November 1st, 2014 - 9:28pmSo the master is a woman and he/she has just snogged the doctor. Lol
I thought it was the Rani. Doh!
Liked the references to the tombs and the invasion.
WFK DVD Collector 14
November 1st, 2014 - 9:57pmI think everyone thought she was the Rani! The Masters still good however… 🙂
Gallifrey Will Rise Again
November 1st, 2014 - 9:28pmWonder if we’ll see a flashback scene with john simm regenerating into michelle gomez? hope so but i seriously doubt it.
The Temporal Jelly Baby
November 1st, 2014 - 9:41pmI hope so too.
Obsie
November 1st, 2014 - 9:27pmShould have known to put something in plain sight and expect people to look further in the wrong directions; talk about keeping you on your toes. I actually love the idea of her being The Master. New horizons are open.
RhysCH
November 1st, 2014 - 9:27pmAnd “WHOOPEE”, for Clara’s Nan is back!

doctordredd67
November 1st, 2014 - 9:24pmThat’s the kind of cliffhanger we have missed for so long !
Absolutely brilliant episode . My son and I jumped off our chairs when we realized who Missy was at last. Better not tell the wife when she comes in from night-shift in the morning… MEGA SPOILERS.
RhysCH
November 1st, 2014 - 9:24pmWell she is the Master! I thought the Missy ->Mistress -> Master thing was too obvious, but this is Steven Moffat, what more should we expect! Ahaha! Overall a great episode with wonderful acting from Jenna as per usual! 🙂
the astronaut of death
November 1st, 2014 - 9:23pmI wonder if the master is going to regenerate next week
booboo
November 1st, 2014 - 9:25pmi wonder if she is a front for the real master
Daleks101
November 1st, 2014 - 9:31pmThat would be good. I wonder how the master has regenerated long after he has used all his lives and he/she is still going.
The Doctor and Handles

I’m speaking from a different time zone (NZ)
And I just love spoilers!
Can’t wait to tell everyone else!
The Temporal Jelly Baby
November 1st, 2014 - 9:24pmYou love spoilers?! I’ve never heard anyone say that before.
Dalek101
November 1st, 2014 - 9:20pmI like the facts that the master is back however I would prefer him to be someone like Geoffrey Beevers or Roger Delgado.
The missy story should be the same however she should have been The Rani.

November 1st, 2014 - 9:23pmthought for a moment she was going to be

November 1st, 2014 - 9:25pmI honestly thought she was Romana for a second, with the “Left me for dead” line I just thought to the time war and war doctor, and it seemed like a choice he may of had to make!

November 1st, 2014 - 9:19pmI thought the writers said missy was a brand new villen and they were Not bring back the master.

November 1st, 2014 - 9:29pmLol I agree with the “Moffat lies” comment.
Tim M
November 1st, 2014 - 9:42pmMoffat has had his day in my opinion. The Cybermen walking down the steps of St Pauls is redone and Missy being the Master is Doctor Who’s ‘Jump the shark’ moment.
Dalek The Supreme
November 2nd, 2014 - 5:42pmAs overall unimpressed I am with the episode, I think the Mistress (I SERIOUSLY hope she goes by “the Mistress” and not Missy) was one of the best things about the episode.
