What Did You Think of The Angels Take Manhattan?

The final episode of series 7a has aired so what did you think?, was it the best episode ever or just average.

The Doctor’s heart-breaking farewell to Amy and Rory – a race against time through the streets of Manhattan, as New York’s statues come to life around them…

Don’t forget they didn’t die, they just left the doctor. They went back in time, river sends the book back in time to be published by Amy. Amy types – as we saw her fingers typing at the end – and the book then saves everyones life in the present day. True Rory and Amy are dead in the present day, but we know they lived to a ripe old age as we know how Rory was ancient when he died in today’s episode. Not all sad then. You just have to look at it through timey wimey tinted spectacles 🙂

A good episode but typically it carried an unnecessaty side plot – what was th epoint of the collector??
Anyway a fitting end to the Ponds time on DW (albeit a year late) but nowhere near to the emotional effect of Doomsday. 8/10

    1. At the end of the end of time when David tenant left.
    2. At the end of this episodes when the ponds went and ot sent back
And does anyone know what happened to the angel that sent Amy and Rory back?

Brilliant episode but how did the statue of liberty manage to walk across the water to get to other side of the bridge, stomp through new York all the way to winter quay and not be seen by anybody!!!! I thought that bit would have been explained. Also the statue of liberty is made of copper and not stone because it was originally bronze it turned green because of the air pollution, any way that’s the complaining and history over and done with. Loved this episode, will defp be watching it again. I have never got emotional over a Doctor Who episode before except for the end of the girl who waited. 10 out of 10!! Oh also where did the cracked, weathered smiling angels off the doctor who website gallery come into the episode

wow – tears! I haven’t shed them whilst watching Doctor Who since Sarah left in ‘Hand of Fear’ – those pesky weeping angels! And how many people thought – oh, they didn’t go ahead with it, and then jumped a mile when Rory was ‘got’ by the graveyard angel. A good ending to a very good story and just love how it brought us full circle.
