What Did You Think of The Zygon Inversion ?
Now that the highly anticipated Eighth episode of series 9 has been aired what did you think? Was it everything you had hoped for or not what you expected.
Ok, that ending confused me . . . . where was the other Osgood ? was she somehow hidden inside the other one ? . . . . seriously, she just appears behind the other like she’s trying to play hide and seek !!.
So basically, there have been 3 Osgood’s. 2 Zygon and the real human one, so Missy must have killed just another Zygon Osgood last series.
The sudden appearance of the new Osgood was just for dramatic effect, don’t get too hung up on it.
There has only ever been 2 Osgoods since the Day of the Doctor, orginally 1 Zygon and 1 Human. 1 was killed by missy. The Zygon that took over Clara then changed her form to become another Osgoodat the end of yesterday’s episode (to replace the one that was killed). So we know one is Zygon. We dont know if the orginal is human or Zygon…although I suspect she is human….the point is that it doesnt really matter as long as Osgood protects the human/zygon relations.

Wow! Now that was a great two parter, absolutely thrilling stuff and just what this series needed.
Peter Capaldi was outstanding in the black archives when he gave the speach about wars.
I think Osgood was a Zygon as she didnt know what T.A.R.D.I.S stood for. The real Osgood would’ve known that. But then again, the Zygon would know everything that the human Osgood would know, so who knows?
I really like the evil Clara/Bonnie thing, she made a good baddie but I miss Missy.
It could have been to confuse the Doctor even more. She acted like human but pretended (or not) that she hadn’t known what T.A.R.D.I.S stood for. It shows that it really isn’t that important. I liked the Doctor’s answer “”Totally And Radically Driving In Space.”
Yes, I liked the dark Clara /Bonnie as well.
Even though I like two parters, I’m quite happy to see a “normal” episode. I’ve missed that.

Impressed. Tbh, i could have just watched the Doctor’s speech and been happy. First time i have been properly inpressed with Capaldi as the Doctor.
Im just not all that lookin forward to next weeks. I am not a fan of found footage stuff. Makes me feel dizzy and nauseus when the camera is constantly moving.
I loved this episode. Both this and last weeks really show us what doctor who is capable of producing. Don’t really like rating the episodes but this two parter would be second under the before the flood and under the lake, wonderful!
I loved the episode. It was great. The doctor’s speech was amazing. I kind of feel like a time lady since it felt like 5 minutes. I wasn’t bored at all, even for a minute.
Everyone who thought that monologue was one of the top Doctor Who scenes ever say “aye”.

“London…what a dump!”….great episode and this latest series is by far and away the best in a long time. Peter’s impassioned speech and his acting in the Black Archive was beautiful and he’s blossomed into a superb incarnation of The Doctor….
This episode needed to do so much. A wrap up of last weeks which was detailed and not plot holy, a wrap up of the 50th anniversary events without wrecking it and give us info on Osgood that we needed from last week. Second parts are always tricky and this was…flawless. Perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Seriously good and wonderfully well written. When I saw Moffatt’s name on the episode I thought “oh god here we go” but he has surpassed himself this time. Congratulations, you’ve made one happy Whovian AT LEAST! I bet there are more. Peter Capaldi’s dialogue in the Black Archive was fantastic and gripping and beautifully acted. What a great episode. NOW what does my list look like?
1. The Zygon Inversion
2. Under the Lake
3. Before the Flood
4. The Zygon Invasion
5. The Magician’s Apprentice
6. The Witch’s Familiar
7. The Woman Who Lived
8. The Girl Who Died
Next week, Mark Gatiss does something scary. I like what I see…
I thought that line was pure genius – laughed out loud. Probably lost on younger fans who haven’t checked out the Pertwee years.
Do yourselves a favour and watch The Daemons – a astory that deserves the overused accolade of a ‘classic’.
This is not a war!
I fought in a bigger war than you will ever know.
I did worse things than you could ever imagine.
When I close my eyes…I hear more screams than anyone could ever be able to count.
And you know what you do with all that pain? Shall I tell you where you put it?
You hold it tight! Until it burns your hand.
And you say this: No-one else will ever have to live like this, no-one else will have to feel this pain, not on my watch!
“When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who’s going to die!!
You don’t know whose children are going to scream and burn, how many hearts will be broken, how many lives shattered!
How much blood will spill before everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning; SIT DOWN AND TALK!”

Here’s another brilliant scene:
CLARA: It seems you thought I was dead for a while.
3 Osgood’s. soon there will be an episode called the Osgood invasion. I think Osgood will be the next companion. the doctors American voice was cool, and was I the only one who thought when Osgood had the sonic glasses on, she looked blind (probably because I not used to it). loved the head from girl who died.
I thought last weeks was better, but it was really good. it comes 6th place so far, however even though it is low it was really good.
I knew Kate Stewart wasn’t a zygon we never saw her die.
7/10
