But you have fallen into the same trap as everyone else, the storyline with RIver Song has not finished yet, the sonic and name giving is yet to happen.

Also, the new Daleks are not movie styled, they are based on the design but are not the same. There is nothing wrong with being inspired by something from another group of stories, plenty of things have been inspired by other movies, does it make any difference if this was originally based on Who itself.

As for the story arcs, this has happened for years, even in the classic series. I prefer the Moffat style arc over RTDs, who at the end of his era was coughing up absolute drivel. He started off brilliantly and crashed around 2007-2008.

I am aware of this, But cant you see my other points? The show has lost’s its edge, that Russell T. Davies built up towards David Tennant’s end. Back with Chris E, the 1st season had moments, which have been built apon. Then S. Moffat dumbed story lines down. Look at River, the Doctor gives her a SD with a save file, She said his name, Then we get rule 1. Come on that’s a cop-out. It has made the event less important. Plus why all the Movie Ref’s(Peter cushing films) They arn’t part of the time line, so why no inner doors, why are the new Darleks movie style. All of the older fan’s(who lets face it, now buy thier kids the toys etc) feel the show has been dumbed down. I love Matt Smith as the Doctor, I just dont like the story arces.

Actually it genuinely does, Steven Moffat got them to do a study of the episodes and ratings and AI go down on the second part of two parters regardless of how good they are (even if they are better than the first part).

Annoying as it is that’s how it goes, that’s why next series, Moffat has gone for a slightly odd route, everything is a one parter but each links into the next in some way.

Amy was ok, Rory became the new Mikey. We need someone who can move the Doctor forward, Donna was great for Tennant, a new strong lead lady is needed to compensate for the fool of a Doctor(no complates of matt, he just rem’s me of Pat Trougton). Plus we need SM to darken Dr Who, more Robert Holmes, less kiddie Jon Nathan-Turner years.

The last season was great but the ending was so up it’s self. 3-4 part stories with the same name(e.g Darlek’s of Time pts 1-4). Have tv views become so lazy that more than a 1 part story hurts there brains.

Please give us long stories, with a campaion who helps move the story forward.

Surely she would have to leave Merlin to do this, the filming demands of both series in a year would be impossible ?

Yes i think she should come back but so should the doctors daughter they both would make great doctors companions but personaly i think de souza should only appear in 1 eposode due to that they would have to be really creative in the way that they bring her back. she was good in the planet of the dead with david tennent but not with matt smith good idea but if they were to bring someone from tennents years for it to be Captain Jack Harknes or the doctors daughter (Jenny)

Well, with that said, I would just like to explain what a great team they made.

The Doctor, Amy, and the Rory, who is so alienated by the Doctor and the bizarre situations he finds himself in. (Rory) 😉

And Amy, who got on with Matt Smith’s Doctor in a great, though not-always-harmonious relationship ! 😆

Two villainesses though? As much as people like playing bad guys, actors are scared of typecasting for a reason.

Definetly not (not meaning that against the characters, just stating the facts), the whole reason the characters are being considered for being killed off is because Karen Gillan doesn’t want to come back in the future out of fdear of ruining the character or the “heartbreaking” leaving (and after what Billie Piper did to Rose in Series 4 who could blame her).

Well you’ve got the Face of Boe and RIver Song to disprove that then even within the new series.

Steven Moffat has seemed determined to destroy any predetermined beliefs about how Doctor Who should work, hence the series split last year, not having any multi-parters next year etc.

There is every chance he will get a non “human female” companion.

    great idea

  • Bigger on the Inside

    December 18th, 2011 - 9:05am

I think Katie McGrath (Morgana In Merlin) would be great as the next companion as:
•she is Irish like Amy was Scotish
•she is young and good looking
•not many people know who she is so it would be her big chance
•she is already in a BBC programme
•she also has a certain look about her-she looks brave and adventurous

Who agrees or has any other ideas

    December 18th, 2011 - 7:42am

maybe this new companion sees the 11th doctor regenerates into the 12th doctor like rose tyler did when she was with the 9th doctor

Doctor:And then that goes there and then that goes there and then-
Craig:Doctor, there’s a huge ship heading for Earth!
Doctor:On it now! I’m rewiring the basic controls to send a virus to the main controls of the ship which will either blow it up or send it smashing to Earth where some random events will begin there which don’t concern me! There we go!
Craig:What will happen when it lands on Earth?
Doctor:What did I just tell you? I’ll even look for myself on the scanner screen if you want but you know I shouldn’t expect any-Rory??!??
    Craig:Who??
Doctor:Rassilons Beard, he needs a haircut, or style.

I’m not talking about classic who. As far as I’m concerned that is completely separate.

  • Bob the Dalek

    December 17th, 2011 - 7:54pm

I should have said seasons, he had 3 seasons + specials. Matt Smith will have at least 3 seasons after the coming one.
