Once filming on both sets finish, assuming they’ve yet to finish filming scenes on both sets, they should really then send them to where the Doctor Who Experience currently is, cos the Junkyard and original Tardis Console Room sets are a big part of early Doctor Who history.

You know, I’m hoping we see this control room again in the show, along with David Bradley as the First Doctor and those Invasion of Earth Dalek props. Or better, still, the 50th Anniversery Special! 😀

Being an actor myself I happen to know it’s not that simple. They might have other work commitments directly after this one and stuff like that. Plus the BBC would have to make extra deals with their agents, etc.

If the 60’s TARDIS console appears in the Special I will be excessively happy. If it turned up in the Doctor Who experience I’d be even MORE HAPPY! 🙂

It probably wouldn’t be the same to remake episodes with new actors. I can understand doing a Documentary of sorts but remaking missing stories is a little too far. I’m happy with the animations that they’re doing so far.

That’s a good point, I don’t see why they can’t they have the material on the episodes that are missing.

While they have got this group of actors together could they not remake some of the missing episodes?

Looking at these pictures, I’d have to agree with you, it really does look like these pictures where taken in 1963 during filming of ‘An Unearthly Child’, but offcourse, it’s just a perfect recreation of the Tardis set, with actors perfectly replicating the look of the original characters.

Has someone actually invented time travel and kidnapped the original cast and crew and forced them to come to 2013 to film the special and maybe even re-film some of the missing stories!!

    Well I can dream cant I !!

OH MY RASSILON !!!!, I am so in WHO HEAVEN NOW !!!!!! 😀

I was hopeful that they would re-build the Tardis console room set from 1963, and my god they have done so well, it looks as thou they’ve just got all the original walls and console, given them a good brushing down, a good lick of paint, and hey presto, she’s back to her original good old self again, and the rebuilding of the no.76 Totters Lane Junkyard set is superb.

    I can’t wait to see this now – HURRY UP NOVEMBER 2013 !!!!!!!!! 😀

I’m hoping they will re-use this set in ‘Journey to the Centre of the Tardis’, cos what if the Centre of the Tardis turns out to be a re-creation of the original 1963 console room, and the 11th Doctor and Clara where walking around inside it and touching all the dials and levers on it ?, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME !!!!!!!!! 😀

*Gasp!* They’ve kidnapped William Hartnell and the original TARDIS crew brought them to 2013! Honestly, they look so much like the actors they’re portraying!

Now they have re-created the TARDIS interior from that era for this drama…it would be shame not to use it in the actual show.

I always thought the Doctor’s Wife would have been even better than it was if the hidden control room was an older version and not just the last one he used.
