    Absolutely, such a scandal.

Tom Baker brought it up in a DWM interview not so long ago and I was shocked, specially when I found out it was true.

But hey, the best thing is to be rememberd for it.

And to think that for his efforts he was paid a one off sum by the BBC in 1963 of £250 or about £4000 and odds in today’s money instead of getting any share of royalties from merchandising. He probably should have been worth a million or three at least for the design.

While I am saddend to hear of his death, I am glad that he will atleast be rememberd as the man who designed the Daleks.

Terry Nation had the rights, but it was really this man we owed their creation to.

Forget Davros, you were the true creator and master of the Dalek Race.
    Rest In Peace.
You will live on in the Daleks.

Thats really creepy, i was just thinking about how Cusick should have been more credited for his creations. This man made Doctor Who twice as good as it is, with the best pepperpots in the universe.
RIP, you shall be immoralized forever along with the supremacy of the Daleks.

I thinking that myself last night. Hope we don’t lose anyone else of great importance to Doctor Who during this 50th Anniversary year.

R.I.P Ray. How unfortunate you won’t see the 50th Year of your creations. You will never be forgotten.

Just a side note: Ray wasn’t ‘inspired’ by a pepper pot he just used one to demonstrate how he wished for them to move.
