If it was for THE tardis console then I am sure it would only be as a flash back or at most part of the new console (assuming there is going to be a new one that is). Much more likely to be a different Tardis which opens up all sorts of possibilities story line wise!

Personally I love the existing set but things do change – that’s a big theme for Doctor Who in general after all.

Personally I wasn’t so keen on the Abzorbaloff although for me it was Peter Kay who really let it down. I liked the episode overall but Peter didn’t have the menance he needed – he was a little pantomime I thought!

I reckon a stupid design will be picked by some wayward 7 year old 🙁

    That’s a reasonable argument

A console, not THE console. Stop panicking. Do you REALLY think the BBC would let a kid design the new console?

Beside, it’s already been built (the new TARDIS interior sets, that is). During a BBC tour, this guy on Photobucket snuck off and got some pics of the set, plus a full text description of the areas he didnt photo. THe pics are taken down, but the description is still wandering the Who forums.

    So chill.

Maybe when Tennant/Smith is flicking through TARDIS Desktop Themes on the computer-screen, this design will briefly appear (along with Leopard Skin, hopefully)

it will probably be a secondary console room like the one used in tom baker years..and im sure they have filmed new shots in the TARDIS already with filming underway…

i hope someone makes it good, but i hope this isn’t a console design just for kids. They didn’t allow adults to enter monster design competition. I don’t want some 6 year old making a Tardis that looks rubbish. Get a designer to do it.

That would be a twist wouldn’t it.You weren’t designing the Doctors Console. that might make sense

There is going to be a new one i am sure fore series 5 anyway, hopefully when they announce the competition on Blue Peter they will give more of an idea of what its about, i cant see them bulding a whole new console just for a short scene, we are assuming this is for the Doctors Tardis though, may be its not !!

I think its a stupid idea for the tardis console to be designed by the fans, i like the tardis console the way it is and i think it will dissapoint many fans who like the 9th and 10th doctors tardis console. it has been popular ever since doctor who was revived in 2005! However if someone designs it simillar to tom bakers or peter davidsons tardis console then i wont argue lol!
