October 7th, 2015 - 12:04amI don’t know where you got your figures from, (BARB?) but The X Factor is actually consolidating over 9m. How can it consolidate to 6.9m when the figures were over 7m in the overnights. If you got your figures from BARB then you didn’t add in ITVHD (usually 1.5m+) or +1. The latest Dr Who consolidated figure is 5.7m and TXF 8.4m

October 4th, 2015 - 2:50pmThe TV trailers are so much better than the next time trailers this year and what’s with the whole ‘to be continued’ text we know it’s a two parter just show us the next time don’t wait until the end of the credits

October 3rd, 2015 - 11:27pmYeah, TV overnight figures are meaningless now. I can not remember the last time I watched an episode of Doctor Who as it was aired. I always either record to watch later or download from iPlayer…sometimes its not for a number of days.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
October 1st, 2015 - 7:22amYou and me both Andy, people seem to forget that these days there are indeed a lot of viewers who watch Doctor Who later on BBC iPlayer, and despite being a very devoted fan who would rather watch a new episode on the day of it’s broadcast, only twice I have had to miss an episode and catch up later on for some reason or another.
I do wish this negativity towards Doctor Who’s ratings would end. Doctor Who IS the most popular TV series in the whole wide world, and while some TV shows like Downton Abby or Game of Thrones [both shows of which I do not watch by the way] maybe popular with some people, they are small fry compared to the global un-ending dominator that is our beloved DOCTOR WHO !! π π
Shows like the two I mentioned I feel will be forgotten by the time of our shows 100th Anniversary in 2063.

September 30th, 2015 - 10:43amThey’re a two parter, the loosely connected ones are The Girl Who Died and The Woman Who Lived

September 30th, 2015 - 9:21amFigures to date for season opener are over 6.5 million. X factor is only 6.9. Add the 1.5 that have watched on i player and Dr Who is way ahead. I wish people would just concentrate on the brilliant quality of the programme.

September 29th, 2015 - 7:07pmMe too, I love Doctor Who and I love Slipknot and Stone Sour. 2 of my most favourite things colliding. I met Corey Taylor and he is the nicest guy and we talked about general stuff, if I had known he loves Doctor Who then I could imagine that would have been one of the best conversations I had ever had

September 29th, 2015 - 9:54amCan’t wait for this episode because Corey Taylor (Frontman of SlipKnot) Is providing the growl for the Fisher King.

September 28th, 2015 - 9:32pmIt amazes me how the BBC bounces Doctor Who around the schedule and puts it up against ratings giants like Simon Cowells self publicity Saturday night dross show x factor and the rugby. No wonder the ratings are down. People seem to prefer sport or brainless crud rather than decent drama. Is the BBC trying to kill it off again. PUT IT ON ABOUT 5 O’CLOCK…DUH!!

September 28th, 2015 - 4:15pmRemember as well, the timing is awful, its got a lot to compete with – and this time of year is always low, last year Time Heist was low, and it was pretty much one year ago on the spot.

September 28th, 2015 - 4:14pmNonetheless, nothing to worry about, it continues to grow abroad, and the way we watch things are different (anyone watching direct via iPlayer on computers live or afterwards aren’t counted. It’s now Monday and is still first on iPlayer, thats pretty damn good!

September 28th, 2015 - 4:13pmYes, it’s views have dropped, but nothing to worry about. The BBC make so much money from Doctor Who, axing it would result in less profit for them.
If you look at this time last year the figures were similar, it’s down to bad scheduling time/date wise. For an opening story the figures were awful, but for the time of year they’re average. Think about it, Time Heist was this time last year and got very similar figures – currently its up against the Rugby, X-Factor etc – if it were to be in Easter very little good TV is on – poor decision making in my opinion.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
September 28th, 2015 - 4:12pmA lot of fan’s prefer to catch up later on BBC iPlayer now days π

September 28th, 2015 - 1:57pmI like it. It sounds like the kind of back-to-basics episode we’ve been needing in Doctor Who for some time. It sounds like a Classic Tom Baker story.

September 28th, 2015 - 11:27amI am wondering how much longer Doctor Who will last! It’s views have dropped on a massive scale. I myself like Peter Capaldi and the episodes are amazing. I just find it astonishing that it is losing views to the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing…
