I think it would be intresting to have to lead writers one male and one female, don’t no why it would just be interesting to see what story’s they would write, and I think that Neil gaimen would make the doctor darker again

    December 13th, 2014 - 10:29pm

I think Neil gaimen would be way to busy

I think the person who wrote mummy on the orient express and flatline would be an amazing head writer as for me those were some of the best stories of series 8

Neil Gaimen would be brilliant as the head writer of Doctor Who!

I love the music in this clip, I’ve been a tad disappointed in Murray Golds’s score for series 8, with a few exceptions.

Steven Moffats episodes episodes when Russell t Davies were very good like blink and the doctor dances but now he’s in charge they have lost quality and are starting to forget to have storylines like dark water and death in haven what was the master going to do with the army? Give it to the doctor, the only things that made the story’s good were great acting and special affects! And I think that mark gratis’ story’s are ok but I would like Neil gaimen to take over as head writer.

I can see everyone’s points but I think that Steven Moffat is great and his episodes are very strong and very clever. The show is supposed to be dynamic, we had all sorts of different story types just in Series Eight, and the show has become much darker as well. But I do thik the stories are sometimes a bit ‘rushed’ in the 45 minute timeslot, we need more two-parters.
(and Anonymous, recent Mark Gatiss episodes haven’t exactly been highly praised.)

There’s no need to lighten up for Christmas. Doctor Who used to be a serious sci-fi show, with great writers, great monsters, original story lines, and most importantly strong characters. I just feel that I’m lucky that I can remember a time when the Doctor would travel with companions from the Victorian era, or from far into the future. They also just stayed for the fun and the adventure. Sometimes they might even be from a different planet. All we get now are girls from modern day Earth, who in order to travel with the Doctor need to have something wrong with them, like being seen all over time or because she meet the Doctor in her childhood for about 20 minutes, and then spent the next 12 years of her life waiting for him!!!!

All I (and most fans) want is to get Doctor Who back like it used to be, is that really to much to ask!

Also, these are my views, please don’t hate me for them.

I think Steven Moffat should step down and mark gattis or Neil gaiman should take over, because Steven Moffat seems to want to just ruin the show like yeah he’s done a few good stories but he’s done loads of rubish ones with no story line, like Dark Water/ Death In Heaven cos what was the master going to do with the army she was just gonna give it to the doctor? No storyline! The only thing that made those story’s good was the casts brilliant acting and amazing special affects!
    Point closed

So you rather have another writer whod probably be worse and then the show is cancelled

    oh come on guys

Christmas special is the time of the year for doctor who where it can lighten up a bit and become a bit more jolly

but those monsters certainly don’t look for the children…

From this video, I think the monsters look like the creatures from The Curse of Fenric (7th Doctor era). I am probably wrong. I love this scene though and I think Christmas just got better!

I’m really not a great fan of the direction the show is going in. Also, it really is time Moffat stepped down and let another writer have a go at being in charge of the show.
