The worst kept secret. Certainly, to anyone here. David Tennant returning in a degeneration.

Appears we are getting 3 specials next year with Tennant and Tate and with Ncuti somehow wound into the story arc. Sounds great. Interesting to see how they re-introduce Donna. One possible scenario is 14 runs into pre Stolen Earth, before she becomes the Doctor Donna and Donna thinks she is dealing with 10.

I’m guessing it is the Celestial Toymaker as even the clothes changed with this regeneration?
Good to see Tennant back and looking forward to our new Doctor.
Nice to see some of the classic Doctors and Companions too.
Personally very happy Jodie has gone, onwards and upwards hopefully.

Just to clarify, I mean The Celestial Toymaker caused this regeneration not that Tennant is the CT

Don’t think it’s necessarily anything to do with The Celestial Toymaker, Or at least fully.
Think it is more the effects of the forced regeneration causing a degeneration and we may well see regenerations again through to the Smith, Capaldi and Whittaker Doctors before settling with Gatwa.

Ncuti summed it up in 8 words
“someone tell me what is going on here”

It was just incredible from start to finish and had me crying on 3 separate occasions.
Last time I cried at Dr who was when the Ponds jumped from the Weeping Angels

I absolutely loved the episode! A great send off and a satisfying regeneration story.

Regenerating so soon after a forced regeneration/degeneration makes the reappearance of David Tennant seem natural and fits the story. Looking forward to his (brief) return before moving into an exciting new era of the show with Ncuti.

I know Jodie’s era has divided opinion at times, and whilst it’s had some ups and downs (as all eras have) overall I’ve enjoyed it and am looking forward to the inevitable rewatches in the future!
