Sarah Jane dead? No, impossible! Impossible. Only last week I agreed to do six new audio adventures with her for Big Finish Productions. She can’t be dead. But she is: she died yesterday morning. Cancer.

We are all so shocked and so very sad at the news of the death of Lis Sladen. Only yesterday I was filming a DVD extra in which I was talking with such heartfelt passion about how she was so ‘luminous’ on screen and how brilliant she was as Sarah Jane Smith.
Please bear in mind some comments on this site are from very young and upset people. This news as come as a great shock to many fans, old and new.

I type this as tears come down my face, still trying to come to terms with it since i found out yesterday evening. Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith.

basically i reckon she was a great actress and great at playing her role, and the thing is know shes gone will the doctor find out? what will happen to k9 and the gang?????

April 20th, 2011 - 9:25pmElisabeth Sladen was such a great mother figure, she was the best thing about dr who in my opinion and I dreamt about meeting her, so when I heard last night she had passed away, I was in shock and I couldnt sleep. Rest in peace Elisabeth, you will be greatly missed.

April 20th, 2011 - 7:56pmcancer does not mean that yu are toatallyy doped and diabled… yu can still move and try to be wat yu wer once before yu had cancer. she was a Gee- she was a don – she was frikin fantastic. we will all miss her yet reserve a place forevr in our memories and hearts for her espically and just hold on tight to her and her momories… keep em as if they were still just memories that were made 2 minutes ago
