Eve of the Daleks Saturday 1st January 2022 7.00pm BBC1
On New Year’s Eve, the appearance of an executioner Dalek means Sarah and Nick’s countdown to midnight will be the strangest and deadliest they have ever known. Can the Doctor, Yaz and Dan save them?

January 4th, 2022 - 3:20amYeah, I quite enjoyed that one too, and laughed quite a bit.. I found Aisling Bea quite appealing as well. (I’d never heard of her before)…
.I was again thinking much better of Chibnall. But then. ..ugh, the love interest angle I had dreaded all along. Aaaa so annoying. I will try to ignore…..

January 3rd, 2022 - 12:58pmBest part again was the end of the show and the reveal of sea devil. Please hurry up and end this chibnall – whittiker era its terrible. And keep these iconic monsters for Russell t Davis and the next doctor.

January 2nd, 2022 - 8:54pmA standalone episode with little threads tying it to the ongoing story but nothing distracting from the episodes own story, which is a nice (and needed) change of pace after the Flux (which I liked, but need to re-watch to fully process). Overall, not an episode that’ll go down as a classic, but one that is enjoyable just for being mid-level Doctor Who.

January 2nd, 2022 - 2:38pmI like the way they used the Daleks, for once they just fired first and you actually believed they were a force to be reckoned with.
Dan and the newbies got some of the best lines.
Love interest came out of left field, just as bad as Invasion of Time’s attempt at romance.

January 2nd, 2022 - 1:39pmEasily one of my favourites of the last few years. Straightforward, logical (for once) and some long needed character development. To me this episode represents what this era of doctor who could have been. It’s just a shame that we are only seeing the potential now in terms of the dynamics of the dr and companions, as well as Jodies abilities, both of which I found really likeable this episode.

January 2nd, 2022 - 12:32pm“I don’t know what’s more unlikely, Robots Chasing you in a continuous Time Loop or ‘Three’ CounciI employees turning up on New Year’s Eve”, (Classic comment).
I also agree ergon about Aislings Screen Presence aswell. Aisling Bea to be the New Doctor, Definitely. If she kept that Style of Delivery and the wacky comments it would be great for the Doctors personna. I Would be creased up Laughing for most of the Show.
Dalek Eye Stalk
January 2nd, 2022 - 10:47amBest scene in the whole hour…The Sea Devil appearing in the trailer.
The Moffat Paradox
January 2nd, 2022 - 12:53amI liked it and will watch again.
Whatever criticisms might be made of the flux arc when you have Daleks exterminating everything in sight regardless of context you cant go too wrong.
And the Dalek energy weapon version of a machine gun to counteract sonic screwdriver interference was a good innovation. Rusty would love one of them.

January 1st, 2022 - 11:39pmSame old same old, started off good, surprised that I was actually liking it. Then chibnall ruins it for himself by forcing the love interest stuff that literally has come from nowhere on the doctors end. They have zero chemistry together. So started good, then the wheels fell off, bit of a cringe moment where Jodie tries to do a speech badly and the soundtrack acts like it’s the most amazing thing ever. Ended up being a bored, not understanding things and then it ended. Passed an hour that’s all I can say

January 1st, 2022 - 8:51pmFor once a decent story. Good acting. Good dark moody lighting. One scene stood was thr doctor’s speech about friends along with some excellent music. Nice continuation from the flux. Disappointed that the tardis did not get a new console room design. Still looks terrible. When is the doctor going to regenerate?
…
January 1st, 2022 - 8:45pmDoctor who isn’t technically available in China anyway.

January 1st, 2022 - 8:44pmThought the Daleks episode was awfully repetitive and the two guest character both unlikeable. And its amazing how the Daleks didn’t seem to be able to target their victims once they were more than a metre away – despite those otherwise marvellous weapons ( whats the new arm thats replaced the sucker do ? ). However for just one moment I thrilled as the sea devil appeared ok there’s every chance they may be ruined , but for just a few seconds the hair on my neck actually stood up.

January 1st, 2022 - 8:29pmAaaarrrrggghhhhh. Oh God !!! No !! That was terrible. Why ? See any earlier criticism of any Chibnall Whitaker story.

January 1st, 2022 - 8:24pmThis was ok. Pretty standard timeloop stuff that picked up in the last 15 minutes. Aisling bea would have made a decent doctor with her rat a tat way of talking. Just a little bored with daleks. The legend of the sea devils looks more promising.

January 1st, 2022 - 8:16pmThe next Special ‘The Legend Of The Sea Devils’ won’t be shown in China & if it does it will be heavily censored. The Chinese Authorities take a very dim view of the Chinese being represented as pirates. A certain ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ film found that to their cost, losing a whole actor’s performance (Chow Yun-Fat) doing exactly that.

January 1st, 2022 - 8:05pmAbsolutely brilliant! What a great episode and a payoff of yaz’s mums asking if the doctor was her love interest (arachnids in the uk) and… seaaaaa devilssssssss!

January 1st, 2022 - 8:04pmNearly jumped out of my seat when the sea devil appeared
