somewhere on the web it said he won’t be doing the same stuff as he is now when he is 40 and now he’s only 29 so think about it he could be here on doctor who- the best show ever, for a very long time beating tom baker’s long reign as the doctor besides matt smith is too good and too cute to leave now or in 2013 after the 50th anniversary

I’m DoctorWho2011 and what I found for Episode 8 (Let’s Kill Hitler) Is BIG NEWS!!!

In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities – and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all…

He will, he’s signed a 3 year deal (staring in 2010), but this might be extended if matt smith wants to play the doctor past the 50th anniversairy.

Hi I have miss Dr Who,heard news about it all,I just hope they will sort it all out soon,so we can have Dr Who back tv,either for full series or half,as I don’t want it to end up like it did in 1989,when it stop and then it came back on 2005/2006,as I love it chose who played the dr.

OH, THATS OK THEN, MAYBE HE WILL REGENERATE ON THE 5OTH ANNIVERSARY…

  • Who?

    June 15th, 2011 - 10:30am

There’s a 200 year gap between the current doctor and the future doctor who dies anyway, so (apart from the fact that killing him would be rather a boring way of resolving that story!) he’d have another 200 years to keep entertaining us if they did.

IF MATT IS DOING ANOTHER 14 EPS, THEN HE CAN’T DIE, REMEMBER WHEN THE ASTRONAUT SHOT HIM?? SO BASICALLY THE DOCTOR MUST SOMEHOW OVERCOME THE ASTRONAUT!! HOORAY!!

Does that mean he’s ONLY doing 14 more eps. or its definite that he will and he might do more too?

It’s been said that the Doctor now has unlimited regenerations (although this has never been mentioned in the show).

    Here’s a link:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2010/oct/12/doctor-who-immortal-reveals-bbc

In SJA RTD put in the script that the Doctor had 500-something regenerations, which is odd, but there you go.

The Master was given extra regenerations at some point if I recall too, so yeah… don’t worry, the BBC won’t stop Doctor Who at 13 if the show is still going well. Even if they do stick with the original ’12 regenerations only’ idea, they’ll find a way around it.

If he did! It could be a good ending to Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary! Still i don’t want him to leave, just like i didn’t want Tennant, Christopher, McCoy, Baker or Pertwee to leave! But anyway another lovable Doctor-like Doctor would take his place!

What I meant 4 years and 3 series

  • somerandom

    June 12th, 2011 - 7:20am

The BBBC have to be careful now, the doctor only gets 12 regenerations, so there can only be 13 doctors. Unless they use some deus ex machina to negate that, there will only be twodoctors after Matt :O
But I heard somewhere that Matt will be around until 2015 o_O but that was when he got chosen to be Doctor, it could have changed…

David Tennant did four years (not three) although those four years only consisted of three series.
