Miracle Day: The New World 14th July 9-10pm

Torchwood – Miracle Day: The New World Ep 1/10
Thursday 14 July 9.00-10.00pm BBC ONE

One day, nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep ageing – they get hurt and sick, but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight.

With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month’s time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural event – someone’s got to be behind it. It’s a race against time as CIA agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking: “What is Torchwood?”, he’s drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human … for ever.

In the launch episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day, Agent Rex Matheson is impaled in a car crash and miraculously survives, while his analyst, Esther Drummond, sets out to discover what Torchwood is. Far away, in Wales, Gwen Cooper lives in hiding with her husband Rhys and daughter Anwen – she’s the last surviving Torchwood member and is determined to stay hidden. In Kentucky, convicted murderer Oswald Danes survives his own execution. And when Esther meets the mysterious Captain Jack Harkness, assassins are activated to kill them all…

Americans get a longer trailer than ours. Ive seen the American trailer and its epic. The UKs is just text. The other one shows the actual stuff. Its a British show so we should get to see it first!

Bit harsh, he did it to save every other child that would have otherwise been killed.

Torchwood Series 1 and 2 Were Brilliant. Series 3 Children of Earth was extreme! Series 4 Miracle Day sounds jam packed. I loved Series 1-3. I just hope this Series lives up to them and is as good as it sounds from the description! 😀

COE was disturbing-the politician killed his family and himself, then Jack killed his grandson. For this I will always hate Jack

About time too. We need something decent to look forward to each week on the box. There isn’t much on until The Doctor returns in the autumn.

Mmmm…Torchwood Series 1 & 2 bored me but I really liked the 5 part Series 3…it seemed as if RTD had actually taken some interest in it. So on the back of Series 3 I will give this a chance…but if it turns out like ‘Yet another American Sci-Fi show’ that you usually see on FX or Sy-Fy then I will finally give up on this spin off show.

Not much attaention is being payed to this, people reading the bulletin then thinking sure I’ll watch it, because the Buletin says the time its on, and not reading any of it! Pay respect to Torchwood I say!
