Doctor Who Nightmare In Silver Trailers / Pictures

Nightmare In Silver Next Time Trailer

BBC One on 11 May at 7.00pm to 7.45pm

Hedgewick’s World of Wonders was once the greatest theme park in the galaxy, but it’s now the dilapidated home to a shabby showman, a chess-playing dwarf and a dysfunctional army platoon.

When the Doctor, Clara, Artie and Angie arrive, the last thing they expect is the re-emergence of one of the Doctor’s oldest foes. The Cybermen are back

i think the reason peapole have been going missing is because the peaple who own the park work for the last cyberman and the cyberman needs new peaople so he can make a new race of cybermen so the cyberman makes the owners take people who are visiting the park hostage so he can make new cybermen

I know, I’m not keen on the idea of Cybermen capable of running either, it just seems so wrong.

Were the Cybermen the 1st cyborg type characters ever created in popular fiction/entertainment? Their were probably olf b grade sci fi movie characters who were half robot in the 50’s, but were they the first to actually be named with the ‘cyb’ part in their name?

I sure hope not, it was the lamest plot device ever.

I think I have a theory of why most of the episodes that we have seen have been ‘good’, ‘average’, ‘bad’or ‘boring. This is so that everyone will be anticipating for the 50th Anniversary and so when we see it, it will seem like the best ever episode due to the mediocre episodes we have seen prior to it. The BBC are probably doing this so that all the hype for the 50th Anniversary will not seem just average or playing with fanboys’ hopes.

Well old Paramount did rip-off the BBC when they created the Cybermen copycats the Borg for ‘Star Trek – The Next Generation’, so if they are trying a Doctor Who version of Borg assimilation techniques then I guess it’s the BBC’s revenge for having a British icon copied for Star Trek.

It’s interesting to note also that, in the IDW Doctor Who / Star Trek – The Next Generation crossover, the Borg actually do regard the Cybermen as superior to them – YES !!!!!!!!! 😀

Still, the Borg are all dead now [except former Borg drones Picard and 7 of 9] since the final story of ‘Star Trek – Voyager’, and yet the Cybermen live on – FOREVER !!!!!!! 😀

He’s got a point I mean come on it’s the 50th aniversary year. season 22( which in my opinion is the best season of dr who) had lots and lots of continuaty refferences and returning monsters evan the second doctor returned and that wasern’t an aniversary year. I feel that nothing has been done for the 50th

I’m guessing the familiar music is the 2006 version of March of the Cybermen, but I would love for there to be the 1980’s version or the Tomb music.

I love that picture at the top which has 2 doctors and the old and new cybermen. Just made it my computer wallpaper.
Will there be a poster of it available soon?

    My theory:

New Cybermen: Fairground experience gone badly wrong
Old Cybermen: Exhibitions, maybe woken up once the fairground Cybermen overthrow the theme park.

‘Familiar piece of music’? I hope we hear some music similar to that of ‘The Tomb of the Cybermen’ 🙂

  • Dalek Smith

    May 6th, 2013 - 5:12pm

i think that whoever is owner of the theme park is being controlled by the mondas cybermen and that the chessboard is an intelligence test, whoever can beat the cybus cyberman creates a new race of cybermen becoming their leader (a bit like tomb of the cybermen let me know what you think)

  • DALEKSKITTLES

    May 6th, 2013 - 2:44pm
