What Did You Think of Let’s Kill Hitler ?

After the summer break Doctor Who is back on our screens with Let’s Kill Hitler. What did you think -was it one of the best stories yet or just not as good as you had hoped.

if they named it ‘The Birth of River Song’ that would have given it all away.

Well, think about it. The Doctor is 1000 years old and looks like he’s 29. River could have been 70 years old and looked like she was eight. They’re Time Lords, so they look younger than they really are. We don’t se the end of her regeneration in NY so we can only assume that she regenerated into Mels and was able to travel to England. If she was able to get away from the eye patch lady (I can’t spell her name correctly) then she’s be able to get to England in time for grade school, which is when she and Amelia and Rory meet. She grows up at a regular rate and then gets shot and regenerates to River.

This is about a separate episode:

River gives up her regenerations for The Doctor. Then the Doctor gives them back in order to fix River’s wrist when she breaks it in order to get away from an angel. So, The Doctor shouldn’t regenerate, correct? Because he doesn’t have any regenerations left. Unless he somehow gets them back in a later episode that I haven’t seen yet, I don’t see how he can regenerate again.

Girls at around that age go through growth spurts before guys, so as children, you often see taller, matured girls and shorter, childish boys 🙂

But She Must Of Time Travelled To Be A Small Girl In 1997

I think the best part for me was the look on Matt smiths face when he is sitting on the table after Alex kingsford has just discovered her new teeth. Quality acting at it’s finest, well done Matt (Mathew?)

I think think that the title was more about river!!!!!! Saying let’s kill hitler rather than about them seeing hitler.

( in response to the comment about river killing the doctor twice) what you are failing to realize ( does anyone get the reference?) is that at the end of the episode moffat solves any problems when river saves the doctor.( spoilers… Probably should have put that at the begining huh?)

Yeah what is with the disappearing age gap? Perhaps someone did some extra Time traveling.( wonder what they got up to)

That’s debatable. The second Part not the first. Doctor who does continue to get better in some things but sometimes it slips

Well you were close but just because they know it was her doesn’t mean they caught her straight away. That gives her just enough time to grow up at the same time as her parents.( don’t you just love the fact that you can say stuff like that when talking about doctor who)

They already told us that when they said that river killed the doctor and that the doctor was killed at lake silencio(love the name) in Utah, ‘keep up pond’

I totally agree!!!!! Fezzes( is that the plural for fez) off to the writers and Alex kingsford for a brilliant performance!!!!!! I am obsessed with doctor who and have watched hundreds of episodes yet that one probably made it into my top 20 favorites. Right beneath hand of fear(rip Elisabeth sladen) and the doctors wife.

The first thought in my mind when I heard about the ultimate question was ” doctor who?” I am so glad someone else thought the same thing as me!!!!!!

Yeah sure it was a bit random and the show may be a family show but Where would we be if the writers didnt throw a bit of fun in every once in a while?
    Answer:
We would be stuck watching some random show about an old guy, actually make that some long dead guy, who Sits and does nothing with his life/afterlife.

i’m a bit confused on rivers regeneration because she regenerated in late 1969/1970 in new york but she was a child in 1997 so how does that work?

Yeh! Hitler wasn’t really much in it. It was more about River goin on a crazy psycopathic spree and Amy chasing her. My favourite line was “shut up Hitler”.

I think the episode moved too quickly, finding River after she poisoned the doctor, Getting Rid of Hitler and on the teselecta, it all moved too fast and made the episode seem too short.

People Say The Title shouldn’t have been Let’s Kill Hitler as Hitler wasn’t in it alot, but think about it, Mels, Melody or River, was programmed to kill the Doctor as she was one of the teselecta thingies, and Hitler was a bad man, so obviouslt she would’ve said ‘Let’s Kill Hitler!’

It was awesome, but it went a bit fast. It could’ve dwelled longer on some things. Steven Moffat is a god at the whole confusion thing, though. He uses time travel and paradoxes really well.

it was good but… is it getting a bit grown up? i mean, there’s kiddies watching this and the quote “take off your clothes” put me off. Overrall, it was great. i liked it when Rory did an impression of Amy. Ha!
