Sneak Peek from The Day of the Doctor

Sneak Peek from The Day of the Doctor: But That’s Not Possible

Saturday 23 November 7.50pm

The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special.

In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

I think the painting is of Arkania, which may play a large part in the 50th anniversary special as I believe that is where the dalek’s in previously released images are. The Doctor does look shocked and also sad by this painting, In the Season 2 finally, “Doomsday”, with David Tennant as the Doctor, he mentioned that during the Time War, he fought on the front line and he was there at the fall of Arkania. We may get to see John Hurt fighting in the battle in flashback scenes in the anniversary special, if we’re lucky.

That’s a good theory, and the scarf that she’s wearing May not even be THE scarf that the 4th Doctor wore, because in the Doctor Who movie the 8th Doctor finds the same scarf in a locker in a hospital in The USA!

Besides, they sell them in the shops now, it might not be impossible to find them in the DW earth (made by people who have met him, maybe)

Not sure what to make of this, there’s a woman with a 4th doctor scarf, and I really big painting of something, probably Gallifrey.

And I still can’t get over the fact that UNIT have ditched the berets

      November 8th, 2013 - 4:32pm

No she wasn’t. Kate Stewart said that, because its her voice, and the girl with the T. Baker scarf, her character name so far given is Osgood. Who she is or what she does hasn’t been given yet, although based on the way she’s dressed is it fair to say that she could be UNIT’s new scientific adviser?

Somebody who joined UNIT (or at least joined the story) because they were obsessed with the Doctor? But does Kate need a Scientific Adviser if she’s head of Scientific research?

    • Some bloke

      November 8th, 2013 - 4:37pm

Oh yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve seen Power of Three… Well perhaps she’s Kate’s assistant 🙂

If Kate is the head of Scientific research, she might just be a scientific researcher.

We all know who “Elizabeth” is.
      Is the painting of Gallifrey?
Perhaps that’s how the three plots are linked…
Doctor 10 is irresponsible and takes her as a companion… I’m not even sure if Rose is 10’s companion at the beginning of the story, as didn’t 10 go out with Elizabeth between The Waters of Mars and the End of Time??? He hadn’t met her in the Shakespeare Code…

And who is Ingrid Oliver’s character? We saw her in the scarf in the filming clips, the publicity photos and now this! Why is she dressed up as Tom Baker?
