The Snowmen – New Christmas Special Trailer

The Snowmen – New Christmas Special Trailer

“Christmas Eve 1892, and the falling snow is the stuff of fairytales.

When the fairytale becomes a nightmare and a chilling menace threatens Earth, an unorthodox young governess, Clara, calls on the Doctor for help. But the Doctor is in mourning, reclusive and determined not to engage in the problems of the universe. As old friends return, will the Doctor really abandon humankind or will he fight to save the world – and Christmas – from the icy clutches of this mysterious menace?”

the doctor couldnt go back in time and save them as the timelines were too complicated seen as rory died twice on the same day and that was a paradox in its self. and as the doctor told amy once you read your future you cant change it thats why river broke her wrist to escape the angels grip.

@doctorwhoone….you couldn’t be more wrong. Rewatch that clip with Jenna Louise and Matt….she’s got a huge smile on her face, and is obviously trying to throw people off. It clearly worked in your case. You talk like you know for sure, but the reality is you have no clue until you’ve seen it. Your theories are perfectly sound, but a little bit too obvious in my opinion. If they just turn out to be relatives, that’ll be a bit of a letdown for me. So, let’s wait to see it first….it’s very possible that they are the same character…it’s also possible that they aren’t. We’ve been given no spoilers whatsoever!

Oops, I ment to say “which he tell Amy is a special locator beacon that can be traced through space and time”, NOT Rory.

Off topic, but Ive had a great idea that the Doctor could have actually saved Amy and Rory in ‘The Angels take Manhatten’. Basicly –

Rory ends up being zapped by the Weeping Angel after spotting his name on a grave stone. The Doctor runs out of the Tardis after Amy calls out for him. The Doctor thinks about what has just happened, and then has a plan. He runs back into the Tardis, and returns with a small device which he tell Rory is a special locator beacon that can be traced through space and time. He tell her to blink so the Angel can send her back in time, and then press a button on the locator beacon so that he and and River can locate the beacon inside the Tardis, travel back through time to where the beacon is transmitting, and end up reunited with both Amy and Rory, preventing their eventual fate of living out the rest of their lives in the past . . . . simple !! 😀

Now I wonder if Steven Moffat had that idea and decided to go against it.

they’ve filmed a mini episode (minisode) of how he comes back, and it will either be put online or on the dvd as a extra. he said this in the interview in DWM

Yeah, I like her voice, but clearly Jenna is putting it on, because if you listen to her speak in interviews, she sounds different.

Well if it is then it is not the first time that a building has been re-used in a Doctor Who story.

The building used for Platform 1 back in series 1 was reused a few times, such as series 5th Silurian 2 parter, and also in 1 episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures which I think was the Mona Lisa episode if I remember rightly.

I hate the whole relatives idea it’s just so boring. Plus when they were presenting the children in need scene matt went ” and your definately not the same person” and she said “yes… definately not the same person. I think it’s safe to say Moffat has a plan comjng together.

It’s really strange – when you see the snowflakes in the official websites background or in DWM, they look like ordinary snowflakes, sort of pretty really. Then you see this trailer… And you only see them as snowflakes with eyes and mouths and you can never see it the same again!

Moffat would not put her there,so I bet they are the same,I bet Clara Oswin Oswald is made by the daleks to discover who the doctor is,I bet you will be wrong and I’m right, there obviously going to say there different, but the truth is there the same ,it is the main story arc this year
