If anyone should play the 12th incarnation of the Doctor after Matt Smith, it should be Anthony Stewart Head. As Rupert Giles in the first three series of Joss Whedon’s ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, Giles was rather Doctor-like, infact I used to think his Library inside Sunnydale High School was secretly a Tardis with the Console hidden somehow.

Don’t get me started thou saying he can’t play the Doctor just cos his played another role in series 2’s ‘School Reunion’, cos he can, and Colin Baker himself proved it in ‘Arc of Infinity’ as another Time Lord before becoming the 6th incarnation of the Doctor.

But if not Anthony, then I’d recommend Johnathan Creek himself, Alan Davis.
