I agree in particular last nights episode was setting the scene for Amy & Rory to leave but the storyline struggled and the end didn’t particular male muxh sense there were six other ships and why were the boxes doing so many different things etc… Brian is great shame to seen him go would be nice to see him bridge the gap of companions – mr Moffat appears to be going from one extreme to the other at the moment brilliant to average and back again

“It’s like they’ve taken over every statue in the city.”
“The Angels take Manhattan! Because they can. Because they’ve never had a food source like this one. The city that never sleeps.”

I’m pretty sure this’ll be a great episode! Shame it’s only 45 minutes, though. πŸ™

That Cube over There, yes, Matt Smith is great (my second favourite Doctor, go Tennant!) but he’s boring me now. I hope he leaves at the end of the 50th Anniversary Series (not Series 7 Part 2). I always wanted to see Amy and Rory with Tennant for some reason. πŸ™‚

I like your opinions, That Cube Over There! I’m sure though that The Angels Take Manhattan will be my favourite of the series! So basically, my order from best to worst:

    A Town Called Mercy
    The Power of Three
    Asylum of the Daleks
    Dinosaurs on a Spaceship

Asylum Of The Daleks: I only didn’t like that there was so many bronze Daleks. It was nice seeing Skaro again, Oswin was fantastic, and there were some classic Daleks, so that’s something. The plot was good, and Matt Smith is fantastic, as usual. This is my new favorite episode. 10/10

Dinosaurs On A Spaceship: Was kind of silly, but it was nice to have another dinosaur episode. It had great emotional scenes, and Brian was great in the episode. Solomon was a good villian. 8/10

A Town Called Mercy: This was a beautiful episode, no faults I could see. Kahler-Jex was amazing, and the Gunslinger/Kahler Tek was also a good character. No faults, 10/10

The Power Of Three: Not bad, but a little sloppy after Asylum, Dinosaurs, and Mercy. There was alot of good emotional scenes, and the Brigadier’s daughter was a nice addition. Brian continues to be amazing. However, it was too rushed at the end. 7/10

im back with another review. first of all it was boring to me the fact that the boxs did not really do alot when opened. also if the doctor makes another silly little joke another stupid tantrume or another big confusing speech i will die.

and what was the thing with amy and henry the 8th

parts where good but mostly it was rushed. im so glad that amy and rory r leaveing and im glad to say i found out that matt smith will be leaveing next year xmas if only steven moffat was leaveing to

then i would really think that someone was peeking at my xmas list

I think you’ll find that was the Birdy song. When to No1 in the UK in the 80’s.

@Craig No tears, Adric was hated. Cheers went up in my house when he crashed into the earth. Plus Earth Shock was one of thed best cyberman story ever. Only falt with this story was Beryl Reid… ..Why?? lol

Very good start, loved Kate Stewart, bit rushed in places but a let down on the resolution, There was a very big story going on here but just seemed to easy to resolve.

    ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS:
“Why do they hate you? They hate you so much! Why?”
Good start to the series. Very shocked to see Jenna-Louise Coleman so early. Despite the fact that the Daleks had finally become creepy again, the lack of Classic Dalek action left me with an empty TDTWATW feeling. And Amy and Rory’s divorce subplot didn’t really do anything. These little niggles aside, it was a great episode with some amazing acting, impressive sets, brilliant direction, great music from Murray Gold and very impressive CGI. 9/10

    DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP:
    “Piracy and then genocide…”
    “Very emotive words, Doctor.”
“Oh, I’m a very emotive man.”
Better than expected. It was childish (“Only my balls.”), it was silly (“We do not have tantrums!”), it was disturbing (“I would break you in with immense pleasure.”), but so what? Apart from that disturbing moment, it was a great episode, but not one of my favourites. 7/10

    A TOWN CALLED MERCY:
“Looking at you, Doctor, is like looking into a mirror. Almost. There’s rage there, like me. Guilt, like me. Solitude. Everything but the nerve to do what needs to be done.”
Well… What can I say? A truly phenomenal episode with excellent performances from Matt Smith and Adrian Scarborough. 10/10

    THE POWER OF THREE:
“There are soldiers all over my house, and I’m in my pants.”
Decent episode, but the ending was a let down. Mark Williams was brilliant once again, though. The “Brian’s log” scenes were hilarious. 9/10.

There’s one other thing: The Doctor. Watch the river scene in The Power of Three. Some of the things the Doctor says are…..interesting.

Here’s my Series 7 review so far:

    ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS:
Great start to the series, but not the best opener or best episode of the series yet. It was a surprise to introduce the new companion Oswin. She will be great! This episode was dissapointing though. I barely saw ANY Classic Daleks and they promised we would! Plus I didn’t like how Oswin turned out to be a Dalek. 8/10

    DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP:
This episode was….different, but good! For the first time, we get introduced to Rory’s dad, Brian Williams. Plus the Doctor had a gang! The Ponds, Brian, Ridell and Egyptian Queen Nefertiti πŸ˜€ Solomon was a great villain, he should come back. And the main part of the story… Dinosaurs… On a Spaceship!!! 8/10

    A TOWN CALLED MERCY:
I’m going to be honest with this and say….before Series 7 aired, this episode was the episode I looked the least forward too. But now, it’s the best episode yet! No dissapointments! πŸ™‚ 10/10

    THE POWER OF THREE:
It. Was. Awesome! I just couldn’t help but love it! Although some questions weren’t answered:
β€’ Why were those alien nurses like that? I’m guessing they were previously human?
β€’What happened to them and the girl?
β€’ How did that happen to them? Was it the cubes? 9/10

Thank goodness Amy/Rory & The Doctor together is coming to an end. Their whole story (including River Song) has not been at the centre of my universe (!) This was almost as embarrassing as ‘Dinosaur’s on a Spaceship’ to watch. The plot and set-up for next week were swamped by terrible ‘comedy’ sequences and I’m sorry, but, the childish tantrums and interpretations of The Doctor character really gets on my nerves. One good thing; The Brigadier’s daughter being in it, was a nice tip of the hat to Nicholas Courtney.

    That’s not all.

    Asylum – Egggzzzz
    Dinosaurs – Dino eggs
Mercy – Jex’s ship looked like an egg
Power of Three – Brian mentions alien eggs

    Asylum – “It’s Christmas!”
    Dinosaurs – “Dad, I’m 31, I don’t have a Christmas list any more.”
Mercy – Anachronistic electricity, keep out signs, aggressive stares. Has someone been peeking at my Christmas list?”
Power of Three – Scene set at Christmas
