What did You Think of The Pyramid At The End Of The World?

Now that the seventh episode of series 10 has been aired what did you think? Was it everything you had hoped for or not what you expected.

A 5,000 year-old Pyramid stands at the centre of a war zone, where the Chinese, Russian and American armies are about to clash. There are many problems with that, but the one that intrigues the Doctor is this: there wasn’t a pyramid there yesterday.

The Doctor, Bill and Nardole face an alien invasion unlike any other, and before conquest can begin, these aliens need the consent of the human race…

Indeed. It also feels like the show has slipped back into series 9 style. I hope Mark Gatiss script ‘The Empress of Mars’ restores it more into series 10 freshness and quality.

An ok episode. I thought it was better than Extremis in that it explains some of the events of last weeks episode. But I think this should’ve been a 2 part story as I’m bored of the monks now.

The special effects were good with the scientist guy dissolving into goo and the monks turning the U.N and military leaders to dust. The pyramid looked great and I liked the way the blocks moved to reveal the entrance.

The bit at the end where the doctor couldn’t see the numbers on the combination lock was a bit disappointing because he had the sonic screwdriver in his hand which I’m sure he’s used a million times to open locked doors. Also, he could’ve used some of his regeneration energy to cure his blindness ages ago.

Nardole is starting to annoy me, he’s such an arrogant know all. I would’ve rather had Missy be the doctors eyes for the last couple of episodes as she’s got to be ‘good’ for a while. Bill is great though, I really think she brings something new and fresh to the show.

Missy says in the trailer for next week “find who let the monks in and kill them” well it was Bill who invited the monks to rule to save the doctor, so I’m wondering if there’ll be a ‘Kill Bill’ joke next week.
