Your Guide to the Rest of the Series

Your Guide to the Rest of the Series

From the official Doctor Who site

Episode 8: Let’s Kill Hitler
Written by Steven Moffat

The gang’s all back! The Doctor, Amy, River and Rory return in what promises to be an action-packed belter of an adventure. So far the following details have emerged:

‘In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities – and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.’

We also know it features Albert Welling as Hitler and is directed by Richard Senior, previously at the helm for Time and Space plus the Doctor Who pre-title sequence for this year’s NTA awards.

Episode 9: Night Terrors
Written by Mark Gatiss

Mark Gatiss has previously written spooky episodes including The Unquiet Dead and The Idiot’s Lantern, but he promises that Night Terrors features some of the scariest moments he’s ever dreamt up! The adventure has a modern day setting and features a little boy who has a fear of something… Can the Doctor help him?

Episode 10: The Girl Who Waited
Written by Tom MacRae

Tom MacRae’s previous credits include The Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel plus the critically acclaimed The Crash of the Elysium. This is his first television adventure for the Eleventh Doctor and it’s directed by Nick Hurran who was recently at the helm for the updated version of the cult classic, The Prisoner.

Episode 11: The God Complex
Written by Toby Whithouse

We know the adventure is set in a hotel and features an alien called Gibbis played by David Walliams. Again, the episode is directed by Nick Hurran and as writer Toby Whithouse was behind School Reunion and The Vampires of Venice, we know we’ve got something special to look forward to!

anyone saw this on the doctor who offical site
    its episode 12 + episode 13

Craig Owens is back! The popular character from last year’s The Lodger returns and judging from the trailer for eps 8-13 he’s getting closer than ever to the Doctor! The adventure is written by Gareth Roberts whose credits include Attack of the Graske, The Unicorn and the Wasp and, of course, The Lodger.

    then episode 13
The big finale! This one remains shrouded in mystery but Karen Gillan has promised us that the series will contain ‘possibly the biggest twist so far’… Is it possible that this is the adventure that delivers it? Steven Moffat penned last year’s incredible finale but it’s probable that this adventure will conclude the series with a bigger bang than ever!

I reckon that the doctor is the impossible astronaught and that river is double crossing. But main thing, if the doctor find a baby melody than will river song be wiped out so the doctor dies because river is not there to save him because she is having sunday lunch with mum and dad so the tardis dies and doctor who is no more. Paradox complex much

  • whofan4ever

    July 28th, 2011 - 9:04am

aha i see a story here

river is madam kovarion (i cant remember how you spell her name) and she touches melody who is river who is the girl in the spacesuit which makes the tardis blow up because its a paradox (if you dont understand what a paradox is watch season 3 finale 3 parter)

or river is slightly into a regeneration and then she turns around with the eyepatch.
THEN omega (who has the purple energy around him in the trailer) destroys the tardis because supposedly he created tardis’s, tardi?
    the tardis people

    • dalek95

      July 28th, 2011 - 10:43am

the teleporting guy is not omega not even close it one of the crew members in the trailor just before the tardis crashes in hitler’s office.

    • spaceinvaders

      July 29th, 2011 - 8:07pm

Yes it is,but all these big stories fitted together, like the pandorica, wasn’t that enough, can’t they just do a normal series with a Master Special at the end, getting bored of moffat!!!

    • Anonymous

      July 26th, 2011 - 4:20pm

Also if you look carefully there is a soldier that appears (that is from episode 13 it might be important to point out) that is also wearing an eyepatch in the trailer.

    • RobZ

      July 28th, 2011 - 1:50am

    • Come along Pond

      July 26th, 2011 - 12:21am

River can’t possibly be Madame Kovarian, can she? I mean, how does that work? It seems there’s a fetish for eye patches in this, the concluding half of Series 6 – No, River can’t be Madame Kovarian – and here’s why – if River is Melody and Madame Kovarian is River, Madame Kovarian wouldn’t be able to pick up Melody without causing a paradox or a schism in the fabric of the space/time continuum – no wait 💡 that’s what causes the TARDIS to blow up…

    • Alex165 (

      July 26th, 2011 - 8:54am

Its Got to be a bit of a plot twist, thats all, maybe a flesh River or maybe shes just pretending to be Kovarian for a trick or plot???

      July 25th, 2011 - 9:44pm

I think the prosthetics look like the style of the Carrionites. I doubt it’s them though.

    • doctorwhocrazyfreak

      July 26th, 2011 - 9:39am

what are the prosthetics and how do you know there name

    • Anonymous

      July 26th, 2011 - 2:13pm

It’s not the Carrionites, it’s not clear what it is but the character is definetly male and the Carrionites are entirely female.

    • Randomizer

      July 28th, 2011 - 2:14pm

I don’t think he is wearing an eye patch, I think its just the light

  • drwhofan384
